Right now on my computer (i5 4690, Cubase Artist 9) resting state is around 8-10% with no tracks but just Cubase loaded with a new project. Stays the same when I add a Repro5 instance but play no notes, if I then play a note it goes up to 11%, if I hold down 8 notes together I see the CPU jump to 23%.

I'm also onboard FX heavy on my test patch.

So around 2-3% CPU for one voice, roughly 15% all 8 voices. There is a 1-2% overhead for each instance it seems too in Cubase.

Please note I'm also running AV, Firewall, and a few other fun things that come with Windows 10 so your mileage certainly will vary. Plus this is a beta version.. so don't make large assumptions just yet.

I will say though I can currently play around 5 instances of 8 voice unison pads before I bottom out the CPU with onboard FX. But higher notes seem to take more CPU load than lower notes.

Yet this is the richest sound I've heard from a soft synth thus far. It really sounds fantastic.

Are you sure? My reality says differently. I applied an LPF at 100Hz, and there was still some Repro5 bass going on:

That's super fat.

Can someone do a low filter sweep, mid, and high with detuned saws? That's always the first thing I do on any synth and it'll tell me right away if the sound works for me.

Thanks

Yeah, it made my sub rumble...there's bass there.

Thanks

Try the RePro1 demo. It's the same filter (I think?).

Hope this helps... this is 8 voice unison, detune at 60%, with the voices panned like a fan.

There is a new RePro-5 filter option (Poly) ... plus the ones from RePro-1 as well...

This is the 'Rounded' filter model - Osc's set to P5 Old (unique to RePro-5) - some held notes and a filter sweep via filter env with Resonance set to about 50%. No other modulation.

I love the idea that a beta tester would record a first audio example of an eagerly awaited new synth, and then just strip everything below 200hz before uploading. Because, well, ya know. Reasons.

Good ol' KVR.
