I'm a Tone2 customer, and I can assure you that the accusations that some of their plugins called home was indeed true and proven. How do I know? They admitted it and fixed the problem. I can also confirm that I purchased Gladiator 2 and it distinctly had a grayed out button named "resynthesis" that they said would be added at a later date. That never happened. So... Proven? Yes.LeVzi wrote:What rubbish is this now ? T2 have always been alright, so much BS was thrown around ages ago, pretty much all confined to KVR and none was proven.kurodo wrote:Seems like an amazing Synth from the specs regardless of the past indiscretions of the developer.
Worth remembering that new and upcoming producers that aren't battle hardened to the pathetic shenanigans
from tone 2 viewing this Synth in a completely different light.
I am almost tempted to purchase it myself, but nah any developer that punishes paid users at the expense of potential lost sales is not a developer I can support.
I guess in the end developers like Xfer (Steve Duda) who also produce an equally excellent wavetable monster clean up on big sales, in the long run.
If you like the synth, buy it, if you dont, then move onto something else.
I like their instruments. I like this instrument. I don't like a lot of their business practices and marketing.
