Worth remembering that new and upcoming producers that aren't battle hardened to the pathetic shenanigans
from tone 2 viewing this Synth in a completely different light.

I am almost tempted to purchase it myself, but nah any developer that punishes paid users at the expense of potential lost sales is not a developer I can support.

I guess in the end developers like Xfer (Steve Duda) who also produce an equally excellent wavetable monster clean up on big sales, in the long run.
What rubbish is this now ? T2 have always been alright, so much BS was thrown around ages ago, pretty much all confined to KVR and none was proven.

If you like the synth, buy it, if you dont, then move onto something else.
I'm a Tone2 customer, and I can assure you that the accusations that some of their plugins called home was indeed true and proven. How do I know? They admitted it and fixed the problem. I can also confirm that I purchased Gladiator 2 and it distinctly had a grayed out button named "resynthesis" that they said would be added at a later date. That never happened. So... Proven? Yes.

I like their instruments. I like this instrument. I don't like a lot of their business practices and marketing.

Tone2 has been nothing but great to deal with for me, I been dealing with them since their first synth. I own everything they make except this, which I plan to soon. I asked for an upgrade price and I am sure they take care of me, like they always have.

Wait a minute. Are you telling me that previous customers who ask for an upgrade price actually get one?

If that's true, why don't they just make this known on their site instead of keeping all these little "favors" a secret?

I am beginning to dislike this company's practices more and more.

nice, i love tone2 stuff but the interface is clunky and i dont like how you have to click click click so much just to change all the wavetables + settings. serum doe it so much better :(
why not put the arrows here or where you can change the settings much better, like this is turns me off already like an old vst like albino3.

i see a randomizer too again, yeeehaw, sadly it doesnt work :( gladiator is still awesome at this.

FYI that if you have a feature suggestion or you see something that doesn't work you should contact Tone2 and let them know. It's a beta so it's possible they will change things based on feedback. :)

init randomiser does work, although it seems very limited in what it selects. Perhaps T2 haven't finished tweaking the randomised code yet. With the wavetables I think T2 have adopted dropdowns because you're likely to have an idea what you want...so it 2 clicks rather than stepping through each option.

Have you never asked a company if they would do you a deal.

Do you honestly think that every store, market, website that sells stuff to people should put up a sign that says that if you own everything else we sell you will get 50 % off next purchase? Where should they draw the line in this case? "If you own 90 % of our products, you get 50 % off", "If you own 80 % of our products, your get 45 % off", and so on....many signs, or one big sign with lots of text.

Sugar Bytes, for instance, let me purchase their Factory at 50 % of the price, because I emailed them (I own the bundle v7). So there you have the same kind of market strategy, this does not differ from any other.

Next example. I'm browsing your website to check your sound libraries right now. I can't find any information where you state that if you own "this many" of my sound libraries, you will get XX % off. Or could it be you're not even offering this treat at all?

Why should a company give you money off just because you bought other stuff from them???

I dont know of another situation where this happens...

'Hi, i always buy Fords, can i have 50% off you latest model please?'

'f**k off sir'

I mean seriously, i know T2 basically use the same template with additional bells and whistles for every synth, but these cheapskate SOB's asking for discounts needs to CTFO.

You've got to be joking. I've never ever paid advertised price on a car. Yesterday I arranged a new boiler installation, and I told them how much I was willing to pay. Last week I negotiated a new Sky TV contract and got a big loyalty discount.

This is normal business practice. Sure less so in retail, but some companies, such as T2, do have that personal touch.

Thats haggling
Its getting them down to a realistic price, as they always advertise inflated prices knowing you will knock them down.
Not the same thing at all.

Try asking Steinberg if they will knock $25 off Cubase, as you are not willing to pay full price. Good luck.

Loyal customer benefit. Nothing special as many devs do it. :)
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

No, there are no discounts for anybody who owns all my libraries. The price is what you pay.

But if I DID have such a policy, yes, I would put it on the site.
