you dont need to touch CodeMeter / your licenses for the update.
CodeMeter dont bother, it wont even notice if you are running Avenger 1.5.5 or 1.5.7
you just replace the Avenger dll basically

Hi everyone

Loving the sound and workflow of Avenger. Curious though. When recording sequences from Avenger (I'm using Avenger's internal Drum Sequencer and/or Arp), I'm getting a lot of latency.
I have to manually adjust the recording to line back up to the grid.

Is this normal behavior?

Note: When I program midi notes (using a midi track to send notes to Avenger), the recording syncs up perfectly.

I've attached a photo of what I'm talking about with respect to using Avenger's internal sequencers and arps. I manually adjusted the start to line up with the grid.

Go to SYS > SETTINGS and set the "Global Latency Comp. Mode" to at least 10 ms (some over the top SQ presets do need 15 ms to get the drums tight), turn your instrument on and off, play a few seconds then try again to freeze / bounce. The latency then should be around 1-2 ms max.

yes 1.5.7 fixes hanging notes which COULD appear when other sample rates than 44.1 were used

I don't think it is. My version doesn't look anything like yours. This is what mine looks like:

I have 3 expansions that aren't appearing here and I have no button for downloading anything. I just downloaded VMan again and it looks exactly the same as it does here. So, something seems to be different from your version.

Vengeance 1.5.7 has crashed Reaper once or twice when knob twiddling... (fnar)
Have also recently updated Reaper.
Not had a problem with any other VSTs...

Try increasing soundcard buffer size.
I just had problems with a (unrelated) amp sim crashing Reaper when I was changing presets.
Maybe this is related?
