I was able to reproduce the issue with Acid Pro 7 Demo. Now it's time to figure out a workaround for that!

No, the issue is with Acid Pro!EchoDeep wrote:Hey Kv331, (I'm the one using Acid Pro 7.0)
I wonder if there's an issue with my version of XP? I have Windows XP sp3, and your website says it needs sp2.
It changes the ASIO buffer size and adds 1 ms to the buffer size which screw up things for SynthMaster: It tries to set the buffer size to 6 ms (265 samples, although ASIO buffer is 256 samples)
So, my workaround for that is, just use 48k sampling rate. In that case all millisecond buffer sizes are multiples of 16, problem solved.
I hope I'm not asking too much for this workaround

Hi breakmixer, breakmixer wrote:Certain Presets(sometimes are muting the plugin, i.e. turning on the yellow button[-] and [o] on it, I have to unclick the button and other presets may work or not and do the same, but once a preset does this the same preset will malfunction the plugin everytime, and a delete plugin folder/reinstall plugin folder is the only fix.
1. Scroll to preset or click preset, no problem
2. Hit midi controller(any key), yellow button comes on, a light click noise, no sound
3. Unclick yellow button, press a key, same again as 2.
4. choose another preset, it may work or it may do from 2. again
5. Close plugin/reopen plugin, same presets will fail
6. Close DAW, Turn off PC/Restart PC, Open DAW, Open SM2, same presets fail
7. Delete/Reinstall SM2/Reauthorise(enter serial/name/email) on loading, problem fixed.
Cubase SX3/Windows XP 32bit/Dual Core
Note* Does not do this all the time, but once it does I have to do 7. all over again, most of the time it's fine, last time I was very busy, making presets, naming, saving etc...
What is yellow button, I couldnt understand that? Did you come across this problem with standalone version/any other host app as well?
I tried to reproduce this problem with Reaper but no luck.
Thanks!
Bulent

yes, it's halion 3 gui, but on the top left corner is a standby(on/off) button, well it's the button directly next to it, at the minute it's not yellow, that's the button that SM2 activates(and turns it yellow) now and then on certain presets when it does play up, basically just keep persistently scrolling through presets one after the other in different banks, but I am in Cubase SX3....
It's directly under the '-' where it says '1 - HALion' top left...

So you're browsing presets using Cubase's preset mechanish, instead of SynthMaster's browser, am I correct?breakmixer wrote:

When a new preset is loaded I reset many things. I'll have to check out that's causing any problems with the host.

No, I'm using SM2 to browse only, that is just how any VST looks in cubase, any vst in cubase will have them 2 buttons in the corner, and SM2 can make the 2nd button activate, which mutes it, I really don't know the functionality of that button, maybe it's 'mute' as I looked in the cubase manual and couldn't find it....?kv331 wrote:So you're browsing presets using Cubase's preset mechanish, instead of SynthMaster's browser, am I correct?breakmixer wrote:

Ok, so how do I change the sample rate? Right now it's saying the ASIO clock source is "Big Ben" and set at 44.1. In the asio4all menu I can't find anywhere to change the sample rate.

Could you PM me your email address. I'm gonna delete the current serial number on the database so the web app creates a new one for you.S-N-S wrote:still waiting for an answer to why i cant get my serial working?

I meant the project sampling rate. File->New menu, Audio tab (on Acid Pro 7)EchoDeep wrote:Ok, so how do I change the sample rate? Right now it's saying the ASIO clock source is "Big Ben" and set at 44.1. In the asio4all menu I can't find anywhere to change the sample rate.

Right SM2 messed up again today, will I was clicking on presets whilst the previous sound was still in 'release' and sounding, when the problem happened...at the minute I cannot trust the plugin and hope you manage to fix it for me....once it messes up, loads of presets mess up, but not all, which I find strange.....

EchoDeep:
This might or might not help you, but I use SynthMaster 2 with Acid 7 and have had no problems, but I use 16 bit, 48,000Hz as my default audio settings. If I'm not mistaken, you must set this BEFORE you load Acid. I use Vista (not XP), but for me I right-click on the speaker icon on the taskbar, access the "Advanced Properties" of my audio device, and set the default setting to 16 bit, 48,000Hz. Some applications (one or two that I have) will change this from the default, and as long as they are running, I cannot run Acid.
As mentioned, you also need to set the audio properties in Acid to 16/48K. It should work then.
Hope this helps in some way.

Hi everyone,
Finally, a new update is on the way tonight. I'm trying to squeeze in wavetable selection for additive oscillators. I hope I can finish it tonight so that it'll be in the release.
