I don't know how do you do it Colin, but everybody here including me are keeping their fingers crossed and are full of support instead of usual KVR draging through muck and mire
.
Keep up the good work and take your time!

You too Colin. We're all egging you on, but do take a proper break. How about a Solstice release date - and a media event at Stonehenge? It would seem like a suitably momentous backdrop. Then you can put your feet up over the holidays. Just don't make us wait for the next equinox!

(But thanks for the concern, I do appreciate it!)
so you're saying it will be out before 2016 ?

Depending on how much festive cheer (hic) I get in me, I'm hoping so. And if not, very shortly after. There are, thankfully, no more design or coding decisions to be made, so it's just a case of working through the product and ironing out those niggling inconstancies, removing modules that have similar functionality, etc. I've got the built-in module count down to about a manageable 250 now, and I'm pretty sure it is both as minimal and complete of a module set as anyone will need. Well, until v1.1 that is!

Well, Colin, I now have 2 weeks off from work (hey - no coding for me !!), and I will gladly volunteer to assist in as much heavy testing as you require

(Not joking here, just in case there was any doubt)

Same here. If you need some testing on Windows 8/Bitwig, be my guest
Good to hear we are getting close.
Cheers,
Tom

you give me a hard time believing that you'll make it this year, given the number of times when it has slipped from santa's sleighcolin@loomer wrote: I'm so close that I'd rather push through and try and get it wrapped and onto Santa's sleigh.
"moments before release". but then, prove me wrong - but not at the cost of a ruined christmas holiday.

Is it in a sufficient state of completion to produce a screen shot?colin@loomer wrote:Depending on how much festive cheer (hic) I get in me, I'm hoping so. And if not, very shortly after. I don't think "a manageable 250" modules with readable labels will fit on a screen (shot).atukao wrote:Is it in a sufficient state of completion to produce a screen shot?colin@loomer wrote:Depending on how much festive cheer (hic) I get in me, I'm hoping so. but while we're at it...
what is the recommended size for an epochal screen setup? I've been noticing a slight increase in those emails coming up with suggestions how to "pimp my inches" recently, so maybe you hit another perfect timeframe...

Rocking a 40 incher here, supposedly at 4K, but unfortunately most developers can't handle that yet, so having to hold it back smaller in most circumstances

"a manageable 250 now" haha that is way more than I was expectingcolin@loomer wrote:Depending on how much festive cheer (hic) I get in me, I'm hoping so. And if not, very shortly after. re testing - I would say I will test on a Surface Pro 3 running win10 but hopefully I will have sold this and gone back to a desktop soon. Has been the clunkiest system I have ever owned - loved win8.1 but win10 has been pretty terrible although maybe the hardware is failing
