Ok, i was a little bit angry last night, and then i thought about great deals you've made, at uvi, so i apologize. But to make a long story short, i can understand you dont add features in new releases, just keeping what's already here, but i cant admit you remove some features. Pushing customers towards mach5 will not defeat the kontakt egemony.

Hi Guys,

@budweiser
In the case of Ultra Focus, I don't see much what you have lost when moving to UVIWorkstation 1
What you have gained though was an Arpeggiator introduced in 1.1, unlimited FX including convolution reverb, macintel support, 64bits on PC, unlimited layers, custom outputs, ...

MachFive 3 can't be reduced to its sounds only and it would be very sad if this was the case.
Loading Synth Anthology in M5 allows you a great deal of new features and be able to use Step Envelopes, Multi Point envelopes, new analog filters ...
combine synthesis to existing sampled synth expand a lots the function of this soundbank.

Please contact us at support@uvi.net, see if we can find a solution that would makes everybody happy.

@quantize
In UVIWorkstation 2, we have focused on the use for our customer on our soundbanks.
Browsing of the HD has been removed to focus on the soundbanks content.
You can still load your own sample by DnD though
Will see what we can do about the pitch control in Slice mode though.
If you want to work with your own content, M5v3 is more suited.

@gamesound200
The library we rely on for UI (Juce) do not support yet non file incoming DnD, so we are a bit stuck so far.

MOTU MachFive 3. Here are the conditions :
- You need to have bought 199$+ of UVI product before December 1st 2011
- You need to contact us at support@uvi.net

You can get a full version of MachFive 3 for $249 (excluding shipping).
MachFive 3 allow full editing of UVI soundbanks and will be the greatest way to get the most modular and powerful sampler and synth workstation.
It's a very good offer!

I have some questions.
1) Should I have reached $199 by total purchases or a single purchase?
2) How do I calculate? the purchase price or the current selling price?
3) Does it include the purchase of physical products from USB?

Thanks,

There will probably be a news about it. don't know how KvR moderate this however.

Thanks,
This isn't good enough. I have spend much more than $199 on UVI Soundsource instruments and neither want or need MACH3.

You can't just pull features from products already purchased and being relied upon by users. I'm reworking old cues for new episodes of a TV series. After upgrading from UVI 1.1.7 to UVI 2 (in order to use in 64bit setup) I can't edit any of the sounds I was using. I mean seriously, not even basic envelope attack and release.

What's my option? Spend $249 on Mach3 when I don't need it. I own Kontakt 5, Gigastudio and others. Even if I wanted MACH3, that's not the point. I've spent hundreds of pounds on UVI Soundsource instruments, including over £300 ($450) recently on the IRCAM instruments, and was always happy with the UVI interface and its editing featues. All gone now. What am I supposed to do?

Are UVI Soundsource saying I have to go back to use my 32 bit bridge and the old version of the software in order to have any realistic functionality of my expensive recent purchases from them? It's not like they're multi-format. I can't use them in Kontakt, Giga or ESX24 can I? I'm disappointed by this, and will sooner get rid of my UVI Soundsource libraries than buy MACH3 at a sightly cut down price in order to use them properly.

"Nous avons travailler sur la version 2 de notre UVIWorkStation afin de le rendre plus simple, plus efficace et surtout plus stable.
Grace aux macro-knobs et outils de script, la nouvelle génération d'instruments UVI n'aura pas besoin de l'ancienne section Edit.
Ce qui lui confère une utilisation plus simple et musicale.

Néanmoins, rien ne vous empêche de rester sur l'avant-dernière version 1.1.7, toujours disponible sur notre site web.
--> http://www.uvisoundsource.com/uvi-works ... icles_id/8

Cordialement.

Yeh I agree...this is simply WEIRD logic from a developer...a major step backwards..sad to be ditching UVI but I have no use for MachV, it's not a replacement..

Not quite.. lol! But I will get it translated on the web! Thanks.

Just re-read the translation and it points to reworking the old libraries. Hopefully it won't cost existing users too much to upgrade the libraries. UVI Workstation 1.1.7 still works pretty good on OSX.

@marsrock:

My French may be a bit rusty, but doesn't that above quote say they are at least working on macro-knobs for their old products (aka the "ancien produits")?

I totaly agree, this is a shame. Hope the reworking of old libraries for uvi2 will fill the gap before the uvi 1.1.7 becomes obsolete...
