My mistake! I thought they changed the filenaming :dog:
Will change it in the next update.

Do you mean by setting parameter values in automation? That's pretty cumbersome though because you need to know which parameters you will tweak and want to return to a default. And you can't store snapshots on the fly. Like if you go "Oh that setting is cool" and then save that for later while performing. I'm thinking of how Maschine does it which is really cool.

But yeah I understand if it's too difficult to set up and I can see how that would raise storage issues since you'd probably need some other application in between Bitwig and Push which would complicate things. I really hope Bitwig adds a snapshot system like Maschine.

Nice!
Do you we have note length and velocity in the drumsequencer, too?

Post

@moss can you please add length, velocity, timbre and pressure to the drumsequencer of Push?

This would really bring the drumsequencer in Push to the next level. I hope I'm not the only person that sees the potential here. We could essentially have two automation lanes per drum pad (timbre, pressure) and create intricate hihats (lenght, velocity) all from the Push. And once the devs add microtiming to the api we'll have a beast of a drumsequencer and looooots of fun. :D

Please consider this request seriously and thanks again for all the work you are doing for us! :tu:

Cheers!

There's a bug in the note sequencer.
Steps to reproduce:
-create track
-create 1bar clip
-put in notes in note sequencer position 1 and 5 in 1st page
-switch to second page and put note in position 1
--> position 5 will light up on Push even if there is no note in the corresponding position inside clip.

Post

Seems like the bug is also present in the drumsequencer.
Steps to reproduce:
-create track with 4 bar clip
-put in note(s) on first page
-switch to 2nd page, instert note
---> the first inserted note will insert another note on the Push that is not present in the clip.

Hi Moss,

Happy new year!

Don't know if this bug is mentioned before, but custom colors in the Push2 settings don't recall their values on the display after restarting Bitwig. So, values are still stored in the settings, but are not visible on the actual Push 2 display, which always reverts to the default color palette.

Thought I already did that but seems I forgot. Will be in the next update!

I can reproduce it, seems to be a bug on Bitwig s side. Will report it.

Good to know. It's just a slight annoyance since you can delete the 'ghost' note and go on with your beatmaking.

You can also switch pages back and forth then it also is reported correctly.

Seems I cannot map the user pages of my Push 2 anymore. Or there is a bug? When I try to map anything I get this (C-2 (Ch. 1) as source):
User Mapping.png
And there shows nothing up in the Push display.

I tested it with the older v7.6 of your extension - works perfectly. Am I missing something?

EDIT: I saved all my mappings now freshly new with v7.6 and then changed back to the new 8.5.1 - works great and it even remembered the user page names that I gave before. So it seems to be a bug in v8.5.1

EDIT: When changing back to v7.6 I still can give the user page names (when using v7.6) in Bitwig, but they do not show up on Push display. Interesting - no explanation needed.

I ran into this as well, seems that the user parameters conflict with the new Hardware API. Will report the bug to Bitwig.
