Rational wrote:Well, here's the answer I got back from Eventide when I asked this very question on Nov 2nd anticipating this.

Here was Jerome's answer to me:

"I'm sorry, but our plug-ins can only be registered one time by the original owner. However, you do not need to register it because you can download any installers and future updates on our website without registration and as long as the license is in your iLok account you will be eligible for any crossgrades or upgrades, including Anthology X."

So I ordered the Anthology X upgrade with 3 products from JRR shop this morning for an incredible deal. One of my 3 products is a used Ultrachannel I won during the donate to the kids campaign a few weeks ago.

My other two products are the free roomverb from Focusrite last month and a quadravox I got for $40 or so. Quite the deal I must say.

I bought based on Jerome's answer above. Hope that helps.

Edit: I haven't received my code from JRRshop yet today to actually register with Eventide though yet. I'll post once I confirm it succeeds. Hope that helps. Should I'd imagine if it checks my current ilok licenses like some stated above.
Interesting, because, on Eventide's site my account says only one, and I have the free Room verb which isn't in the Anthology. I only have one item in the Anthology, but four total Eventide plugins. I certainly don't want to lose any of my plugins that aren't in the anthology, I use them quite a bit.

I think you ordered the wrong upgrade. The 2016 Stereo room is not part of Anthology so it should not count as an eligible plugin. I checked on Eventide website, and I own 4 plugins, including 2016 Stereo room, and only 2 qualifies, both are included in Anthology.

From a mixing perspective, what are the thoughts on Eventide Anthology X vs Softube Collection 1 for the price and utility. I can upgrade to Eventide Anthology X for < $200, while the Softube Collection 1 would be around $300.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

As far as I remember qualifying plugs differs in the diffrent Anthology versions, but at work now so cant check, but be aware

There isn't a good direct comparison between them. Softube is mainly oriented to emulations of analogue channel EQ/compressor hardware, plus some synths. Eventide is naturally geared mainly towards digital FX and has a bunch of interesting, useful or quirky stuff. However, there is a question as to how many harmonisers a person can use once you get past the H3000, Ultrareverb and Omnipressor.

The question is: do you want a lot of ear-candy FX? In which case, it's Eventide no question. Or do you want to just do broad-brush mixing with some analogue-style processing to warm stuff up? For me, it's the former as I've largely sworn off the quasi-analogue soundgooderisers. But YMMV.

Regarding Anthology X upgrades, maybe this helps: "Enter your iLok account to see if you qualify for a cheaper version" @ http://weber.eventide.com/webservices/A ... rview.html

Guess I should also reply that I currently own Octavox Native, H910/Dual H910 Native & UltraChannel.

I want to make sure that I'm understanding this correctly:

JRR Shop has a deal for Studio One v2 Producer for $19.

JRR Shop also has a deal for Studio One V3 Professional upgrade from Producer v2 for $84 or when added to the cart.

So I can get Studio One v3 Professional for around $105 total?

If I'm correct, I am totally on this within the next hour.

Is it Friday already? Feels like Monday to me.

That seems to be how I read it. I even forgot I already had Producer V2, but I may get this upgrade. Seems like a good deal.

They start early so that you'll spend your money at their shop before the other stores even get their deals out there.

The same thing happens with brick and mortar stores ("Doors open at 1:15 AM!"...."Our doors open at 12:59 AM!"...etc).

I ain't spending a dime until Friday. :D

Passed it up last time.
So it was $49 minus the JRR discount?
Yep, same price that I paid for it last year. If I knew then how much I was going to use it, I would have been willing to pay more, LOL! I do a lot of weird ambient stuff and it's easily my most used reverb.
"ambient"! you just nudged me closer to pulling the trigger.
Thanks!
If you demo it you definitely want to setup the ribbon strip and modulate it in your DAW. That's one of its key strengths and it has a very characteristic sound.
The Blackhole Native is being offered at a discount.

I assume the AAX Native.
How about the VST version?
A bit confused.
I'm pretty sure that Native is VST, ask Uncle E to make sure that you get the right one. I don't recall for certain but I believe that Native gives you all of the options.
Eventide's website shows as AAX/VST

Wow, the PluginDiscount price is good. I can't get into JRRShop. It keeps timing out.... :(

I have studio 2 producer and bought the upgrade today but haven't received a serial yet. JRRShop is not working at all for me now though, seems to be a problem with linking to the site.

Yay, finally able to get Eventide UltraReverb with their current sale. :hyper:

Can only recommend to get Blackhole for that price BTW, bargain of the year.
