Very sorry to hear that. :( SM3 is such a super powerful and versatile synth, at a very decent price and with a super dedicated developer behind it. It should be wayyy more popular.

Not sure if the current advertising campaign will help.
I personally found it rather annoying and unsubscribed from most kv331 channels because of it.

I'd rather go for the authentic qualities and work on the GUI some more - those advertising phrases I've all heard and seen a million times from other companies and they won't do Synthmaster any good in the longer run, it just makes it feel stupid and same-same - to me at least.

I don't have a solution though, I can just reflect my own reactions.
Pigments 6 is getting a lot of attention although I find it sounding very bland and dead - I never use it.

SM3 stays my favourite synth, even though that does not help you ;-) :tu:

Oh I see. Our instagram is currently managed by an external team. However, they are lacking "domain knowledge"

Yes, they definitely do. It's pretty horrible IMO... ;-)

I have few questions about your synths.

Are the One and SM3 so different? I mean there is one that rules both, or they are just different?

Newer versions will load sessions made with previous versions or every newer versions comes as a new plugin?

What's the DRM? It require internet to activate or is just SN/key file with no internet required like U-he?

Thanks in advance

SynthMaster One is our entry level single layer wavetable synth.
SynthMaster 3 on the other hand, is our flagship all-around multi-engine multi-layer synth. It can read SynthMaster One and SynthMaster 2 presets.
We use challenge/response keyfile, which requires an internet connection.

Creating a small hardware unit, along the lines of IK's original UNO synth, but with the Synthmaster 3 sounds, an SD slot, and 5pin midi ports for legacy in-out-through connections, would be very tempting. People could use existing midi controllers and hardware synths, blending favorites with the new SM3 sounds and capabilities.

It would be much easier for me to release an iPhone version of SynthMaster 3, with at least preset browser & macros available. There are millions of musicians with iPhones already on the planet :)

I am considering making the iOS app freemium. Free with 100 presets but can not load user saved presets as in the demo version of SynthMaster 3 desktop. Basic editing IAP would unlock loading user saved presets and would bring the rest of the factory presets. Advanced editing IAP would unlock waveform/wavetable/multisample editors.

That sucks; the previous CP was fine, why the change? I hate C/R and now that I know about this change, I'll definitely avoid upgrading to V3. :(

I do not understand your concern. it has been like this since 2007. you can email the keyfile to yourself as well

:?

To my understanding, challenge/response keyfile, which requires an internet connection means the keyfile (response) is generated by an online server using a machine ID (challenge) that was generated by the plugin on the machine one wants to activate on. The resulting keyfile activates the plugin only on that particular device and the process has to be repeated on each machine the user wants to use the plugin on. To summarize, the user is tied to the developer.

I don't remember this to be the case with your previous plugins, anything changed in the meantime?

Simple.
If kv331 shut down. We won't be able to use SM anymore on a new workstation or if we need to install from scratch with a fresh OS.

Yeah, and if hell freezes over it will get really cold.
