Thanks kx.001, hope you enjoy the other products too! Improved controller support in on the roadmap, (although with the new products and updates taking up so much development time, it's not likely to be tackled for a few months): more than likely we'll be able to include Launchpad support in with this.

YES! Sequent is a must have :D

I've demoed Shift and love it, its on my must buy in 2012 list.

:) I've sent off a load of emails to developers asking about licence transfers so as soon as I hear back I'll be having a clear out and a few new toys.

New year, new work flow, lol.

I'm looking into this and a few other Linux issues at the moment. I know it's been a while, but I don't suppose you recall if this was using the Linux RT Kernel?

Any news on a possible Cumulus 1.1 update?

Post

Nothing to announce at this point, I'm afraid. All bugs and performance issues - including the Linux kernel locking nasty mentioned above - are fixed, but there are still several features I'd like to implement before getting 1.1 out of the door.

All development is currently tightly focussed on getting the next Loomer product to beta - in all honesty I massively underestimated the time this project would take (or, perhaps more realistically, it grew far beyond the original specification!). After this release, all the outstanding updates for the existing product line will be getting our full and undivided attention!

I never see an issue of Computer Music in a store...any chance of Cumulus being made available by some alternative method?

Or is it already so and I just missed e info?

Thanks.

I may have something to report about that actually. I'll just need to confirm with the powers that be and check that I'm not revealing anything I shouldn't...

Hi Matt - Unfortunately, it's not something I can talk about publicly at this time. More news will be posted as and when said information is no longer under embargo. But who doesn't enjoy a little slice of mystery now and again, eh?

Well, that in itself is useful information. Thank you.

Hello
I just grabbed acopy of CM last week : CUmulus is still featured on it, and i was wondering if there had any need to install a newer version, or should i just keep the first released version ?
Did there had any improvements or bug-fixing, etc since the first release ?
THank you

Post

The version on the CM DVD is still the most recent public version, so there is no need to install any updates. All in all, the first release is pretty stable, so you should be fine. A few minor bugs did slip through the net, but the chances of them occurring for you are pretty low (and if they do, we have a fixed build which we can send out to affected users.)

There will be a Cumulus 1.1 update available at some point: more news on that once a proper development map for it has been charted!
