Vendors allowing license transfers

Anyone knows how the iLok license transfer fee cap at $50 works?
Their site says that "each License Transfer order has a maximum fee of $US 50" so I guess this only means that all licenses of the same order should be transferred to one person.
So you could transfer one Slate plugin, one SoundToys plugin and one AIR plugin to one buyer in one single order and only pay $50 for the transfer.

My information was wrong! You can ask their support and get a quick answer!masterhiggins wrote:Where did you see that? I thought they allowed a single transfer of a license at which point it becomes NFR.sugo wrote:How about OHMFORCE?
Edit: Ok, i see they not allow a transfer

Got a response from N.I. on this now:4tune wrote:I see thanks,chk071 wrote:As far as i know, some of their bundled products can't be resold. Also, products you bought can't be transferred until 2 months after you acquired them. For example, i couldn't sell Monark, because the 2 months after having initially bought it here on the market place haven't been up already. You can send NI a support request though, they immediately let me sell Monark after i have written them that i'm wondering why it doesn't show up as transferrable in my account.4tune wrote:The last two Native Instruments purchases I made on the Market Place have appeared as NFR in my account.
The transfers were done through their new system, so I`m wondering if they`ve changed their policy?
maybe it`s the two month rule, I don`t want to sell what I`ve bought immediatley anyway, it`s just nice to know where I stand or if their policy has changed with their new system. Already sent the support request so I`ll just wait and see then.
When you buy a second hand license, it can get wrongly marked up as non-transferable for 60 days. However you just need to send them an email and they can de-register it for you to sell on again if you wish. (the 60 day rule appears to be for newly bought software)
Same as chk071`s situation for Monark.
So props to N.I. for continuing a very fair transfer policy!
edit: for typo and clarity

Code: Select all
Just sold Garritan Personal Orchetra 4 :
Currently allow transfers and Licenses remain full and can be sold on again -- do not become NFR
There are no fees if you are a European customer, I`m not sure what fees apply if outside Europe. My transfer was allowed at (just prior) the time of writing. It has been pointed out later in this thread that the Garritan website says transfers are not allowed:

PPG doesn't allow transfers of any kind.
When I asked about selling my license for WaveGenerator, I got this response from support:
"sorry, thats not possible.
the license is only given to your computer.
once the software is installed on your computer, there is no way to safely uninstall it again.'

LyricalDistortion.com does not allow license transfers !
This is their response:
"Sorry, we don't permit resale or license transfer, per the End User License Agreement
With our model of Direct Downloads without Copy Protection, it's just not possible"

Im trying to find out what rules apply to my DiscoDSP Discovery Pro 6.4 license. Luckily i downloaded it about two weeks ago to give it a last spin but now it's gone from my account page..(?!). End of life or what? I bought it before any license transfer costs. But if i transfer it, how will the new owner get a hold of the installer? I can send it of course. Doesn't feel right though

Crackbaby: Your message had me concerned as I had become accustomed to periodic updates over the years . I had a sniff around and to quote George from DSP Form on Mon Feb 22, 2016
'Discovery Pro is still supported. '
If you are unable to make contact through the support form / address , however it's works perhaps clarification of transfer details and installation arrangements for new owner would be forthcoming through their forum . Far from ideal asking such things via a public forum perhaps rather than having some direct contact , but helpful maybe for other users looking for a change ? I hope you can resolve this satisfactorily.

My apologies for not realizing that this upgrade has been released. I am somewhat confused as their store has for sale Discovery Pro 6.4.6. and I cannot recall any release notification newsletter, but I may have missed it.
I would hope they would still allow transfer of old license allowing the new owner to inherit the upgrade rights , as without this as obviously the value and interest on the market place would be reduced. Personally I would think that contacting their support would definitely be worthwhile prior to trying to find a seller if only to save time when the question arises later from an interested party..
I see a previous upgrade was 29 euro so I will investigate the situation for version 5 upgrade at some stage. It's good to know that it has come out .A strange situation though - i must have overlooked the announcement .

It looks a bit rotten. Look at what that 6.5 update is .. how many will benefit from it..? Retina? Ok, new banks and all but for those who don't use presets..? It's a 19€ upgrade also! Not worthy making previous version end of life. If there was a version 7 that was released then maybe version 4 could be removed from downloads. I know i could contact George about this but this is what i see when i go to my account page. I don't want to tell him how to treat his customers, it's his business.
Funny thing is that he started this thread. It used to be no charge, but it's edited to 9€. I guess that's my answer. 9€ and no way for the buyer to download it unless seller sends it. I don't want to put any buyer through that and i guess that's the plan - to make it a hassle.
Sorry for all the off topic, i got my answer
