Again fantastic. Simply awesome.

Angus i think ther eis something related to GUI in these. When i engage dynamic suite in ableton live, all ableton controls seems to behave different. For example if i try to move Mixer Fader in Ableton it is moving but there can be seen mouse pointer stuttering animation. That is happen only with these plugins. Like they are somehow stealing focus or something.

Ableton live 8 32 bit on win 7.

Other then that sound is brilliant!!

kmonkey - if it's the same bug I think you mean, it carries on even after Dynamics is unloaded (also happens with Etch & some of our others).

It's an odd one for sure & we're talking to Ableton about it at the moment to work out what's going on.

I've emailed the Abelton development team about this yesterday - it also happens in Geist / Etch / Tremor. We have seen it with other plugins as well (not just ours). We have tracked the problem to a specific call to a windows API, so we think the bug is on Live's side. Am waiting to hear back from their dev team, but will keep you updated

Highlights for me:
Envelope Shaper is really awesome.
Bias control on ChannelComp; nice :D

If I had the ca$h I'd probably buy the suite just for the Envelope Shaper. All 4 processors are excellent though. Shame I already have most of these bases covered.

The Bus and Channel Comps hold up well against the competitors. Slightly more aggressive and obvious compared to the ones I own, but good in their own right.

-I (also) bought Etch before the no-brainer. Although I'm not here to complain, I have to admit that I'm more apprehensive about buying fxpansion products than I've ever been before :(

Thanks for the freebie though; I really dig it :D

As to RE's... we're listening, but as with Etch a straight port isn't an option (mostly GUI reasons) so it's not something that we could do overnight.

When you say windows i hope you don't mean Windows as I have Etch GUI glitches in Live on a Mac (along with Satson and DC8C). Not exactly the same Etch problem described here but sometimes the Etch GUI for the X/Y goes blank and a few blank lines appear. So I'm thinking Live + certain plugins = GUI problems on a Mac.

Yes you are correct. It carries on even after is unloaded. I don't know it could be Live fault as Paul_FX mentioned it but i really have dozen of 3rd party plugins and it happens only with Fxpansion ones. I am not questioning anything (your development quality or something) just to be clear i just want to point and to isolate problem to make it easier for you. Good luck with fixing it.

Kind regards

Maybe it's really Live problem which is present on both platform Mac and Win..

I've got it happening here with Sugar Bytes Cyclops, so it definitely isn't just an FXP issue.

And what about vst3? Is anyone listening...

please please please please do another no-brainer!!! This new Dynamics Pack and/or Geist!
We just did. A bus compressor for $0. Doesn't get much more no-brainy than that.
That's not the same and you know it. :hihi:

Why no limiter?

Post

JPRacer - the pack is what it is, it's not necessarily supposed to be "everything". We just haven't built an interesting limiter yet.

evo2slo - listening yes, but I have significant reservations about VST3 (philosophical, process, engineering, commercial); when thinking about the other things we could do with the engineering & QA time needed, I just can't see it being a priority.

VitaminD - true, but both serve a similar role from a promotional standpoint. In any case - highly unlikely that we'll be doing any more no-brainers on existing products for the time being.
