Hey codec17,
no it's not there yet. I'm chilling at a beach until end of next week, then i might begin with that video. Or maybe even wait until 1.2 is out and until we then adjusted the project to the new features etc. Might make more sense.
But check it out, it's not too comlicated to undrstand, just press buttons and watch the bitwig screen, you'll see stuff happening.
thx for interest!

I just bought Lemur based on this, but it doesn't seem to do anything on Linux. The config pull-down in Bitwig doesn't open and setting the correct values in Config.js and restarting Bitwig doesn't do anything either (meaning the Lemur app just keeps showing its splash screen). Is there some special trick to getting it to work in Linux?

There are 2 parts, one is Lemur4Bitwig controller script which you installed in Bitwig. You need to select a MIDI device in order for the drop down to show up. Create a loopback MIDI device using whatever you would use to do that on your platform and select that. Then you should be able to enter the IP/Port info.Cybolic wrote:I just bought Lemur based on this, but it doesn't seem to do anything on Linux. The second is the Lemur template which must be uploaded to the iPad using the Lemur Editor application. I am not sure if there is an alternative way to do this. You may be able to run the editor using WINE... not sure though.

twumpy got it to work on linux. Does this help?twumpy wrote:The problem seems to be the qmidinet itself. Trying different solution and will post step-to-step quide for ubuntu if succesful.
EDIT:
1. I used the alsa virtual midi ports (sudo modprobe snd_virmidi)
- I also added the ALSA Virtual MIDI script, though it might not be necessary:
http://www.bitwig.com/en/community/cont ... idi_1.html
2. Put host computer in OSC targets, port 8000 (this is basically as in pictures before)
- no midi target setup needed
3. Setup the ports in Bitwig
Had to restart Bitwig in order to start, but fumbled so much it could be just me![]()
Excellent work with script, I would love to see the kind of isometric keyboard Push has, with ability to use scales. Also, pitch bend and mod wheel for the keyboard, ability to load instruments on the tracks, create and duplicate tracks etc, etc...

it might be possible to upload the template via itunes, if there is itunes for linux, or connect your iPad to another mac or pc, just to upload the template.

Hey Suloo, I hope you are enjoying your time on the beach!! One of the best places to be on this beautiful planet! I wanted to let you know that I checked out the new template, and though you said it had track names now on the devices page, I don't seem to see it. Am I missing something? Also, what exactly is the toggle bank supposed to do? Nothing seems to happen. Many thanks as always.

on the device page, see the menu for changing the presets. There you can see the device name and above is a textbox for the trackname, should work. If not then smth is wrong currently.
By toggeling the trackbank you can navigate either the audio/instrument tracks or the effect tracks. Just create a bunch of audio tracks and effect tracks for example. You can see it on the mixer page directy when you toggle them. And also on the device page, by toggling the bank, it is supposed to autoselect the first track of he toggled bank.
hpe this helps a little.
cheers

no worries on the text bug, stability is definitely a must! excited for all the progress and have thoroughly enjoyed using it so far. Looking forward to all that is to come, and am grateful for what you guys have already accomplished.
