Where's Maximus when you need him. :hihi:

In a way it is entertaining... This guy wants to give English lessons when he makes just as many errors as non-native English speakers.

I use live in every project i make.. I have it rewired to cubase or logic using the suite devices, lots of midi and audio tracks for stretching and other tasks.. 16 tracks average per live project and 32-64 in my main DAW.

I agree bitwig can only be good for ableton in that it will make them be more competitive.

Once again, "arrange does not need tracks to be resized cause it handles it in a different manner" is your opinion, not mine. Once again, you simply can't put "imo" in. But that's all it is.. your opinion nothing more, just like what is say is my opinion. It doesn't make that FR any less valid for those of us who must have it.
Live is not your main DAW... so you are not stuck depending on its somewhat clunky editing...

By your argument, someone who does not use the software has an opinion that is just as valid as someone who does. Even if someone never even looked at Bitwig, their opinion would be just as valid. You are free to approach things that way, but you will not convince me to do so myself.

If you were a serious user of the software and explained why you wanted something, I would give due consideration to your request. However, you seem to want to just throw exaggerations out (Live is 100000 times better) and then expect people to respect your opinion. Uh-uh

I don't believe that someone who repeatedly calls the software Bitshit has a balanced eye to assess it. Combine that with no specific rationale why the editor in Bitwig does not work well for what you say you want and I certainly do consider your opinion of less value. I believe it is based mainly on your own bias.

So yeah, a FR from someone who calls the software Bitshit is less valid than FR's from people who regularly use the software and understand it. My guess is that most Dev's would agree with that.

You have a good point pdxindy.

Ha! I've heard you say similar name calling versions of Bitwig numerous times in multiple threads.

Oh good. Back to interpersonal fitzlefighting.

Again, who is the master subject who will define for all time what is an objective difference?

These are personal preference issues we are dealing with. So some have issues with bitwig. Others have issues with Ableton. I found one that works.... for me.

Ain't no sense trying to convince someone to change to your choice of DAW.

Sheesh.

back to the "Objective Differences: Ableton Live 9.5 vs Bitwig" ...
u can see the top feature requests from AL beta forum

+ 11. Edit Multiple Midi-Clips (it's there so not my wish, just missing from the picture)

this is how Bitwig was created(these are the diffs between the two DAWs mainly), if all of them will be implemented in Live X then BWS will be knocked out (I will go back to it for sure) if not then ... currently the arrangement view in AL is highly PITA compared to BWS because of the absence of the features above (although AL is far more feature rich it's useless on basic usability level)

TheoM wrote:I just did a search for the word bitshit at kvr search database. It was used once by acidose (not about bitwig) and once in this topic by me and then others in this topic, about me using it.

That's it, in *all* of KVR history.

So once again, someone is making lies about me just to cause trouble. Quoting me and calling me a liar.

Unbelievable. :dog:

At least i have proof about this one thing, so i pdxindy can claim whatever BS he wants to
Hehehe... I said similar term, not the same... you have badmouthed Bitwig numerous times...

but I'll leave that be for now as I cannot be arsed to search for the various instances.

There are objective differences. Live integrates with Max and Bitwig doesn't. That is an objective difference. Would you disagree?
