Let me be a fanboi for a minute....
I have a Prologue-8 on the way after listening to some reviews from Sweetwater.
Quite a bit of interesting features - as was Kingkorg - I think.
Not loads of mod matrix stuff - but some unusual timbres and flexibility in oscillators. Like User oscillators I found here:
https://github.com/peterall/eurorack-prologue/releases
I think it's rather innovative what Korg are doing. Kingkorg was ambitious as well - with emulations of Prophet, Moog and Oberheim filters and loads of stuff.
Also is Prologue firmware v2.0 available since a month

And prices are now around €1000 for the 8, does not hurt either.

I know this thread has been necro'd back to life, but just to add to the noise...
I have a couple of Prologues (had the 8, loved it so bought the 16) and also have a REV2, OB6 and a ton of little analogue mono's.
The Prologue has 'that' sound. It has mojo. I would put it way above the REV2, but not quite up to OB6 levels...bit it's not far off. If you can't afford a Prophet 6 or OB6, the Prologue is a genuine substitute.
If you're looking at more budget analogue poly's, I would simplify it as Prologue for Mojo, REV2 for modulation.

Spent enough time now with Prologue-8 and really enjoy working with it and what it offers, sound too. Greatly improved workflow to Kingkorg I had. Sorting and navigating patches is the best I saw.
The third oscillator as multiengine is incredibly useful.
And there is unison polyphonic mode by just doing voice mode depth knob to dual - not obvious since Unison is specified as mono only.
Now soon to start doing dual timbre stuff - and worth noting is that 16 voice version also have more knobs on panel doing that. So maybe one consideration. I don't want another 61 key synth though so not an option for me. Prologue-8 is only 70 cm wide and fits on my lap.
