Windows Defender is blocking me from downloading the executable. It claims that your file is Trojan:Win32/Cloxer.D!cl
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

An adaptation of Delta Sign's example. Thank you for sharing!

It's still one sequencer but doubled and sent to 3 tracks. Added random velocity and "hold". It's a generative loop. I'll share the preset once it's finished.
Track 1: Orange Tree Samples Evolution Jazz Archtop
Track 2: Orange Tree Samples CoreBass Pear
Track 3: Rayzoon Jamstix 4
It's generative stuff:

I'd like to echo various comments on the plugin hosting & scanning (and add my own!).
This morning I finally took on the painful process of adding all my plugins (there are many).
After 7 crashes and about 20 minutes I've managed to get my 2015 iMac (High Sierra) scanned but I've given up for now after an hour of crashes (17 so far) and very slow scanning on my 2011 MBP (El Capitan) with only 2/3 of them scanned.
The problems here have been exacerbated by the fact that the 'update' button appears to have the function 'clear and start over' if you forget to tick the AU/VST/VST3 boxes. This is surely not the intended behaviour ? If I wanted to start over I would assume I must press the 'Clear' button first.
Once scanned I am, as Tom notes, presented with a list of categorised plugins in which, in the absence of a search function, I must play 'hunt the plugin'. I simply can't find some of them.
On the scanning, if you manage to produce the first 'plugin scan without crashing' algorithm then I suggest you patent it and retire on the proceeds. It's not a problem that is easy to solve and your time will be better spent elsewhere I am sure. However, the gotcha of accidentally wiping out what you have done so far could be fixed hopefully. Also the fact that the scan count proceeds in sudden leaps leaves you staring at it wondering if it has hung or not (which it did a couple of times, rather than bombing altogether) - that could be smoothed out too.
On the plugin categorisation, I suggest that you remove it, and replace it with AU | VST | VST3 | AU FX | VST FX | VST3 FX (and Midi FX when implemented), until such time as a plugin search facility is in place.
Sorry, Colin, if that all sounds a bit whiney but I'm just smarting from having spent nearly two hours on this so far and not having completed it yet on one of my (admittedly ancient - though it does have a retrofitted SSD) boxes.
Cheers

This has very high potential. In terms of its core functionality, I am seriously impressed.
However, the plugin scanner is currently spectacularly broken. It took me about one hour and 10 crashes to get less than 5% of my plugins scanned. Eventually, the scanner got stuck in a crash-rescan loop and could no longer get beyond a certain point in the scanning process. I eventually had to give up and uninstalled the beta. Will try again once this works.
Most systems out there now do a decent job scanning plugins. There is no reason why Architect should not be able to do that as well.
Fyi, I am running on MacOS Mojave, maxed out late 2016 13 inch MacBook Pro (first one with Touch Bar).

I'm releasing a new beta today that has several of the plug-in scan improvements already suggested, so hopefully it'll be an improvement. I think what I will eventually do is use an "out of process" scan so even if plug-ins lock up, the scan will continue.

I'm assuming a false positive here. I'll have another build in a few hours so maybe you can wait a bit and give that a go, if that's OK?deastman wrote: Wed Jan 02, 2019 4:42 am Windows Defender is blocking me from downloading the executable. It claims that your file is Trojan:Win32/Cloxer.D!cl

I also like the background scanning that Bitwig is doing so the process isn't keeping me from using BWS.
It even finds new VSTs automatically while running so I can install a new plugin and it's just there right away.

Noted, and added to the list.
I've made a start on out-of-process plug-in scanning, and my initial results seem pretty good, although it will be a feature limited to the App version.

Thanks , that would be a bang message in max/mspDelta Sign wrote: Wed Jan 02, 2019 1:55 am The pack controller module only updates when it receives a message at the call input. You could either simply connect the 3 outputs from the aux sequencer to the call input, updating it every time it the aux sequencer sends a new message (this would probably make the most sense), or use something like the "on every tick" module.

Just found out that any parameter of any sequencer can be controlled by other sequencers .
Mind blown
Colin , this is absolutely an amazing piece of software , you really tested our patience but it was worrth the wait >
Congrats again , will buy it soon
One suggetsion , deleting notes by bringing up a menu by right clicking is cumbersome , what about double clicking or control/click instead ?
Quick question , did you use the JUCE framework ?

Thanks. No need to rush, though: the early-bird pricing will be in play for a while.
