its a modular environment, so yes, there isn't much it can't do with the right skillse-crooner wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 4:39 pm Is SynthEdit even intended for such utterly complex synths?

Well, technically it was an SE plugin, using custom C++ code.
The thing is, you can make anything in SE. Except maybe for FFT and AVX.

Yeah. The issue for me isn't that it's made in SynthEdit, it's the limitations (32-bit only), and the lack of own code involved (would have liked to see some own DSP).
Anyway, I'll shut up now.

I don't get it either, tbh. There have been many Synthedit synths over the years with oodles of character and incredible sound. Aversion to Synthedit instruments (and effects) has no basis in reality in my experience, at least where sound quality is concerned. Hell, there's some SE-based software that sounds just as good or even better than non-SE commercial software.izonin wrote: Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:58 pm Hm, I don't understand the argument that SE synths sound bad.

i question the cpu usage of such a complicated synth using synthedit. seems like alot of un-efficient coding going on there. especially with the cheesy animated talking head GUI.
