The mouse scroll wheel can be used both for scrolling the stack of modules up and down and for adjusting parameter values. This is a significant problem. I find it quite easy to edit parameters (either knobs or text/menu params) without noticing that I have done so, because I'm trying to scroll the module stack, not the parameter that the mouse happens to run into. Editing parameters without noticing you did it should never be allowed to happen. A UI switch that would let you choose to disable one or the other mouse wheel response, if desired, would be a huge benefit.

So finally I've been able to recreate "The Hand That Feeds" lead using a Zebra patch!!! I simply wasn't able with Zebra 2, but now I do. Here's the patch if you'd like.

Very nice update!!!! I do miss the different ways of setting up the xmf filters (diff'ed was my favorite). It sounds ridiculously good. Definitely too much for the wee laptop I've spent most of my time on recently (4 voice patch and a kick drum broke the CPU).
Is the filter selection not supposed to pop up when using a filter in the fx section? It would be handy. I like just clicking through the arrows, but once I know the different models it would be nice to be able to just grab what I'm looking for quickly.
Also having some pretty serious lag with opening and closing the GUI.

Left clicking near the filter name (in between the up/down and left/right arrows) is popping up a grid showing filter options for me.Ah_Dziz wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:08 pm Is the filter selection not supposed to pop up when using a filter in the fx section? Edit: right clicking works too. The grid shows up in the middle section of the GUI.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Not for me. Which is why I axed. Guess I could have missed the spot but it worked fine on the voice section.Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:11 pmLeft clicking near the filter name (in between the up/down and left/right arrows) is popping up a grid showing filter options for me.Ah_Dziz wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:08 pm Is the filter selection not supposed to pop up when using a filter in the fx section? That's only if the filter is in the generator section, he's talking about the FX/Out tab.Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:11 pmLeft clicking near the filter name (in between the up/down and left/right arrows) is popping up a grid showing filter options for me.Ah_Dziz wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:08 pm Is the filter selection not supposed to pop up when using a filter in the fx section? Actually try an asymmetrical shaper on the sum / fx of sine like osc-sounds, like so (Melda MWaveShaper, carefully adjust input volume): Sounds even better IMO.Schrommerfeld wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 7:59 pm So finally I've been able to recreate "The Hand That Feeds" lead using a Zebra patch!!! Could somebody finally explain to me what with the plugin window size? Why it's so problematic to fit the UI into screen in 100% size?
I'm on Macbook Pro 14" M3 Max.
Here is UI in 100% and it's cropped:

Here is UI in 90% and it's perfectly fitted but became small (also names in the presets browser literally hard to read):

This is amazing, so exciting, I had my first crash with Ableton but I was trying so many things I dont think I can reproduce it or report it! LOL
I was wondering if there was a RAMP like in ACE/Bazille? anyways, loving this, it took so long, now it's finally here and I dont even know what to do with it!

But then a strange fear gripped me
and I just couldn't ask....

Yeah, this wasn’t a bug. It was Ableton politely bowing out.Garzita wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 8:54 pm This is amazing, so exciting, I had my first crash with Ableton but I was trying so many things I dont think I can reproduce it or report it! LOL

I am using a Wacom tablet with a pen in absolute position mode.
When trying to move a rotary control, it snaps to either end very quickly without me making much of a move.
This is usually caused when a "virtual mouse" is used and needs a switch to set the mouse to tablet mode or in Bitwig it's called "Absolute Mouse Mode".
I am using the Wacom driver in WinTab mode on Windows 11 Home with an older Wacom Intuos 5.
Looking forward to explore Zebra 3!
Thank you so much for 11 years of dedication
Cheers,
Tom

after a couple of hours of playing with this awesome update; here are my first 2 cents;
-16 voices -> 32 or 64
-Ctrl a,b,c,d -> make them visible to the daw for automation
-Ctrl a,b,c,d -> make 4 more (a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h)
-add a hard limiter (with on/off switch) before the output
-pitches -> add a quantize option 'post everything' so that modulation gets quantized as well (fun stuff)
-pitches -> calibration; add an extreme knob (times 10, or 100) for more effect
-fx -> make it possible to collapse the fx ui's, a la bitwig (et al)
