Right? I'm still genuinely amazed by how good Synthmaster sounds out of the box!

Yeah, I really like their comment functionality, being able to comment at specific times, and the sorting options. They did some things excellently. But it's clearly been enshitified :/ I'm glad I'm in good company at least lol.

I've been wondering how long it will be before SC becomes too intolerable for OSC. I wish I had the money to develop my own sharing platform. Keep it owned and run by people who actually prioritize artists. I can dream...

Question for the community: Should I comment less?

I love giving feedback while listening, because I also like receiving it. I consider any insight into how people experience my music to be a huge privilege. So I tend to comment anything I think could be relevant. Soundcloud, however, doesn't like me commenting so much:

Anyway, I'm just curious what others think. If I have 3-5 thoughts, is 3-5 comments on a track too many?

Probably a case of heartless capitalism being confounded that some humans actually like to help each other 🙃. (plus algorithms making decisions devoid of any context or capability to comprehend)

It's one of the more endearing things about SoundCloud... :x

I've had my account suspended and music taken offine for falling foul of their anti-spam detection - it took several emails explaining why I was 'commenting too much' to get my account reinstated. It sucks.

I spread my voting and comments over approx a week; My advise is, don't poke the bear.

I recently got a warning for 'clicking around too much' ... sigh...

Despite being me not so good at leaving comments, getting them is one of the most rewarding part of the OSC, no matter if positive or negative; it makes me feel "listened", not just "voted" (I know it is almost never the case, still i feel this way). I'm so sad that when a user leaves soundcloud his comments disappear: they were part of the history of my track.

So, about me, go on as you wish :-)

Comments are about how someone feels about your track. Sometimes you get comments on how you might "improve" the track, or fix issues. All invaluable information imo.

Just spread commenting over a week or so ... you really don't want to fall foul of the anti-spam bot.

I like to comment as the tracks come in, if I have time to listen ... helps my voting too as I already have some clue about how I feel/felt!

I agree with riot, not doing all comments on one or two days would usually be better. I think your comments are very competent and positive, so keep on commenting.

Maybe complain at Soundcloud about that warning, if enough (ok the OSC Community will not be enough for that) complain they might loosen their metric. ;-)

As it always happens in the OSCs, some tracks makes me wonder how can someone squeeze out so much beauty from the same VST i've struggled to.

Many compliments to all, guys.
