I gave it a demo and liked it, but I didn't love it. I thought the UI was very good and easy to use, I just wasn't getting sounds that blew me away. The presets didn't sound much better than the results I was getting. As a quick comparison, I loaded up the Cubase drum machine, which is way more limited, but was consistently sounding better to me.
I think where Attack likely shines is in weird and non-traditional percussive sounds. For me, I already have tools I like for that, so it's not as valuable. I think if I'd spent $29 on this I wouldn't be mad, I'm just not sure how often I'd use it- so for me it's more valuable to use that $29 for something I love (I swear I will get Microtonic one day).

Attack on its own is… you could say pretty dry… for me that's a strength, cause that makes it one easily understandable and powerful element in a sound design chain.
If you put a granular effect behind it for example. that's when it starts to shine. It's just waiting to be mangled.
I use it with my fav sequencer and put Lese Smear behind it and I can get super interesting stuff out of it

I don't think you will get much out of this if you are a preset user. I didn't care much for the presets either, but I think the synth engine is very capable and cover a lot of grounds. I bought this to make my own sounds.
