They (not just yours), the one note wonders in general always sound like 'cheating' to me.
And whilst for synths most of what I do is 99% presets I only tweaked not programmed, when I sell my clients exclusive rights to something I created for them (which is my whole business model), I feel like I would be cheating them to use these one note wonders.
But indeed everyone has different business models and some are in music for the fun of it (nothin at all wrong with that).

You can mute parts, solo parts, change the sequences, change the sounds, and manipulate them in any number of ways to use in your compositions. They are also great instructional aids to show you how different styles of music are produced.zvenx wrote: Thu Dec 23, 2021 2:15 pm They (not just yours), the one note wonders in general always sound like 'cheating' to me.

I do get as a learning tool from them. But I am less likely to buy a bank the more SQ's they have. But that is probably a me thing.

You can also turn the SEQ off and make your own. A ton of options!zvenx wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 1:52 am I do get as a learning tool from them. But I am less likely to buy a bank the more SQ's they have. But that is probably a me thing.

Bartek is the GOAT. He finds life in sound. He takes the energy of sounds and translates them into a perceivable emotion. It's really a breath of fresh air and sparks my curious creativity. As a result, I buy the expansions
If he isn't do so already, I think he could make some great demo tracks. Video/commentary aside, I find Bartek's playing style really in tune with the type of melodies/vibes I enjoy in music.

Hi Manuel, msvs wrote: Thu Dec 23, 2021 8:06 am Hi, the CPU should be at least >50% less than Avenger, you will surely notice in bigger projects
@Bla28, you should try the demo, if it works there, it will work in the actual main version, too
I downloaded the demo and I get weird popping / crackling on the 16" M1 Max MBP, like an other user has mentioned on this board.
As a check, I used Serum and Spire in the same project and it was free of any crackles / pops. So in it's current state, Avenger is not really usable on my 16" M1 Max MBP.
So is there any chance that there will be a M1 Pro / Max native version released in the near future (so that I can buy it now with the Xmas discount and then wait a couple of months. In the meantime, I will simply use Spire and Serum)? Or should I simply avoid buying it if I have a 16" M1 Max MBP if there are no plans to have a M1 Pro / Max native version?
Many thanks for your answer.

Hi
the current version 1.8. is already native M1.
Unfortunately the demo version is a quite old version. Rene did not have a secure solution yet to update the demoversion to the newest so we will have to live with an outdated demo at the moment.
However it "could" be an indicator that Avenger wont run well on your machine

Wow, the demo version is ridiculously old, 1.4.2.msvs wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 7:31 am Hi

I think you should really consider it a priority to offer the latest version as demo. Not sure why that is so difficult as almost everyone else offers it.
Even I am planning to consider Avenger, but would be nice to test the latest demo before taking the call.

Many thanks for the quick answer. If I cannot verify that the current version will run great on my machine, guess I will have to wait for next years Xmas sale (when then hopefully an up to date demo version is available).msvs wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 7:31 am Hi

Manuel gave us the answer, and it's a good one - copy protection. They haven't yet figured out how to make the demo version secure enough. Annoying, but understandable.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 7:38 amI think you should really consider it a priority to offer the latest version as demo. Okay, I understand, but I would have accepted that if the demo was 1.7 or 1.8 when the current version is at 1.8.2. The demo is at 1.4.2. Looking at the revision history there is an awful lot that has changed since then. Even as a Windows user I would be a bit skeptical about it.noiseboyuk wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 8:22 amManuel gave us the answer, and it's a good one - copy protection. Can anyone confirm if the newest version runs fine on FL Studio (Windows 10)? Any noticeable issues? I see someone mentioned problem with reloading saved project and preset recall. FWIW, I have noticed such issues with VST3 instances of some plugins and VST2 work fine, but Avenger seems to be VST3 only.

As far as I'm concerned not everyone offers a demo. I know, you stated "almost everyone".LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 8:37 amOkay, I understand, but I would have accepted that if the demo was 1.7 or 1.8 when the current version is at 1.8.2. I've seen you getting Omnisphere and Nexus, both doesn't have a demo, and still, you've got them.
I don't understand your complaints here on the Avenger demo.
I'd rather see lots of happy fellow customers because of dropped Codemeter than updated demo version of the Avenger

Well, your comparison doesn't make sense. Omnisphere and Nexus don't offer demos, they never have, so there is no question about "demo version". Avenger offers demo version and it is pretty outdated, simple as that. So, I don't understand you quoting me on my valid point (it's not really a complaint, just an obvious request from a potential customer). It is not about demo, but demo version.DanielPL wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 8:47 amLoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 7:38 am (...)

That said, I do appreciate that they have made the copy protection simple and more user friendly now, so agree on that that it would make a potential customer happy and consider Avenger from this viewpoint.

Okay, will use what's there and hope that the latest version works well in case I decide to get it. Cheers!
