It is indeed per instance. We get it from the DAW while in the VST2/VST3 processing function.
Inside a VST Host like Modalics Plugin Buddy the BPM change works correctly. So that must be a bug with that version of Reaper at least.

Hi guys,

We have a new update for SynthMaster 3: v3.1.3, not officially released yet, so here are the dropbox links:

Mac: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ex6j3t8p ... my6o7&dl=0

Win: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/uktugt8r ... ij6q3&dl=0

Here are the bug fixes in this update:

1. FIX: SynthMaster 3 crashes when a layer modulation source is dragged and dropped on to a global effect parameter
2. FIX: SynthMaster 3 might crash when a new preset is loaded while the old preset had modulations that don't exist in the new one
3. FIX: Swapping effects might not work correctly
4. FIX: Replacing granular oscillator with vanalog oscillator crashes SynthMaster 3
5. FIX: When a preset is saved as, the preset author name can be incorrectly set to current user name

Thanks.

Is there a way to mix in the amount of the AM input? Also I seem not to be able to use the FM input, I guess I am doing something wrong. If I switch to FM input, it does not seem to have any effect.

Could you possibly post a screenshot of the preset with the routing view visible? I couldn't understand what you mean?

I cannot replicate it anymore, now the fm input from a mod osc works as expected. Will have an eye on it, maybe I can reproduce it again...

Hi guys

I started redesigning the user interface after receiving a lot of feedback on the UI/UX. Considering displaying multiple modules on the top row, and all modulation sources on the middle row. Still undecided about the bottom part, but will defin itely make the keyboard much smaller as it is not a functional UI element:

I am planning to provide UIs for each module in different sizes, sich as: Narrow, normal, wide. So that we can fit multiple modules on the screen as opposed to now: You can only see one oscillator, one filter and one modulation source at a time.

It would be great if extra modules that won't fit on the screen could be floating windows and placed on a 2nd monitor.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, Windows 10 22H2 64 bit, 32 gb ram, Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Studio One 7.1.1, Yamaha Stage Piano CP33, Tripleplay midi controller

The framework that I use (VSTGUI) does not support floating windows unfortunately. I will check the latest version, maybe they added support for it. I just asked the. Steinberg guys if this is doable. If it is, I will turn the editors (Waveform Editor, Wavetable Editor, Multisample Editor) into popup windows.

EDIT: Looks like it is possible:

Please do keep the windows docked (like they are now) by default, and make it an option to be floatable. Maybe a toggle switch? Then both groups get what they want. :)

I like the idea of rearranging the GUI as proposed by you.

Here is my wishlist. Caveat first: I do not have any clue about coding and the technical aspects of GUIs, so I do not know if this would be feasible for SM3 at all and how much time it would consume to program it. But one advantage that Phase Plant has in regard to SM3 is the easy way to see as a line that pops up which modulator modulates which parameter in which device when clicking on one of the respective connection points. A similar way exists in the Hyperion Synth by Wavesequencer, which I see in the same tier as SM3 in sound quality and how versatile it is.

SM3 oscillators sound great, it has tons of sound design possibilities and you can modulate most stuff. But it is a little weaker in the visualization of what is happening in comparison to some of the most popular Synths (but also much better than others that I checked out, somewhere in the middle). I know that this is not so important for veteran synth enthusiasts, but I find it extremely helpful (and fun) to better understand what does what in a synth soundwise by not only hearing it, but also seeing it.

All the best.

We have realtime visual feedback for modulation sources and target parameters. Also, when you click on a target parameter, the modulation matrix entries are listed on the mod matrix. Similarly, when you click on a modulation source, the targets are highlighted on the screen, and listed on the mod matrix as well.

WOW! Great sounds and great demo!

Sorry, if this (for sure was) answered already somewhere:
Is it possible to install SM3 completely offline?
Like serial number only.
