The lights from Ikea - those are LED candles, right? DO they flicker annoyingly? Or is the light steady-ish?

how much are you paying in real estate for all that stuff considering you're in NYC??!! i can barely afford my apartment! :-o
well, combination of things - a: my rent is really pretty fair b: the studio is partly self sufficient

I had a roomate move out this month so the studio expanded to take over what WAS my bedroom - originally I slept on a futon couch in the corner, with a small wardrobe for clothes/etc. People who saw the space were amazed at my ability to live like that. I really don't know how I did it now that I've got a full bed in another room now :hihi:

As to the ikea lights - those are actually just fogged glass with I think 35 watt light bulbs in them (they're like glowing balls - god knows if I'll be able to find replacements outside of ikea)

they really don't illuminate well, but they're all I have for now. Time for me to invest in some more lighting!

Ah, thought they might be these:

according to peeps, they kinda glow more orange than they expected. But I might give those a whirl.

I like your studio space, though - rox!

Yeah, I was agreeing. I lived in NYC for a while and I paid a thousand per month for a one room flat (and I mean ONE room) on 86th. So, obviously, to have a room you can make into a dedicated studio must cost quite a lot.

Fuckin hell dude -- take a pill or sober up...

Cheers,
Alex :D

I've only had it a short time, and haven't really had time to get into it. I think bases would be covered in Reaktor. I think Reaktor is deeper, especially with the sample mangling. Still, it's nice to build something, save it and take the little module to the club and play.

Here is the front half of my studio. Behind me sits my controller and second set of montiors for surround. ( I'll post that pic soon). Image
