That's good to know. I wonder if there are cheaper rebrands with the same innards?

rowin and donner definitely are. don't know if they're the same as mooer.

a lot of these chinese pedals are just that, made in a factory then you get your logo stamped on.

I've got 3 Rats: a big box Rat I bought in '99, a JHS Rat Mod, and a buddy gave me a JHS PackRat recently and I really need to spend more time exploring the low-gain side of them. I always just kind of throw up the distortion around 1-2o'clock, filter around 2 o'clock, and just dial in for the guitar and amp. That said, I think I prefer the Rat mods to the stock rat. The JHS mod and the Caroline mod tend to be my favorites on the PackRat.

Tried a Behringer Hellbabe HB01 Wah Pedal. Too many options spoil the pedal.
I'd prefer a wider sweep and less options, it also contains a cardboard internal part, wth.

One more play with it now I have a TC Electronic Wiretap Riff Recorder to tweak the wah while playing recorded audio through it. I can see it going back in its box and put in a cupboard, and sold when the price increases.

Looks like Fulltone pedals second-hand prices have increased.

i tried a hell babe a long while ago, had a click and slight delay before the wah effect kicked in. was many years ago probably been updated since.
i also found the feel of it weird compared to my old dunlop wah, seemed more resistant, not terribly but enough to notice.

Yeah, the sweep seems less and doesn't start immediately, I prefer a Dunlop any day.
It's an optical connection, the pedal tension can be adjusted apparently.

ah, it might have been possible to ease it off then, had i known :hihi:

nowadays, i use the cock fight fuzz, with an expression pedal, also feels a bit wrong, but i do very little wah these days now im not doing metallica covers in a band.
mostly slow filter sweeps that don't make me pull the wah face.

That's just the result of speculators banking on some kind of artificial scarcity. The OCD is probably one of the best-selling pedals over the last 20 years. There's no real shortage of them.

It would definitely be interesting to see how many people who took up guitar or picked it up again during that time stay with it.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

wouldnt it be lovely if more local music became popular again, people played instruments for the joy of playing and it was more of a social activity again...not paying a fortune for a ticket to a show, so you cane pay a fortune park. Do people have informal jam sessions, are there anymore jam nights out there? I used to love to go to a biker/blues bar in Lowell Mass on Sunday nights for jam night.

I see this a little bit in Maine, I dont know if anyone remembers the member her dover666...he's not too too far (about 60 mile drive)...he does a lot with Maine Festivals, if I were younger I think I would too. I suggested yesterday to Ash that he might want to meet him, I haven met dover666 yet but we talk a lot on fb and it's just my social awkwardness that gets in the way.

There was also this place called The Kave here in my town.

Unfortunately there was an illness with one of the property owners and I think it has been a struggle to get it back...it was a bring your own everything privately owned place that just had punk rock shows and jams from what I understand...it's about five minutes from me. ( I was kinda excited about this before we moved, then I learned that it was no more)

Maybe more things like that will be where they will target their marketing...market the guitar not with some girl in a bikini holding it, but a bunch of friends hanging out. :tu:
