Thanks in advance for any word. And thank you, Urs, for making such amazing products!

We're currently still in the middle of a massive bugfixings session. This takes up all of our energy. As it stands now we're going to be very happy if we can release updates to Satin, Diva and Zebra this year, alongside AAX support.
Wow, thank you, Urs, for such a prompt reply. I figured that you guys had your hands full with the updates for Diva, etc., so I'm not too surprised. I'll continue to use the beta/alpha of Bazille to learn it...

And btw, I know that others on this forum have said it, but I will echo the sentiment they've articulated: thank you for being active on the forums for the products you make and keeping your user base up-to-date on developments. It's a huge selling point for me, and i'm sure others! Diva keeps calling my name...

sadly, no (I guess?! :P) i used to moderate the elektron-users.com forum, though. that and my lowly soundcloud page are my only claims to fame.

and yes, Urs is a right bastard for having the demo AND beta policies he's implemented!

I'm not sure if its been reported yet, as i don't have time to check through this entire thread. I have noticed that patch cables disappear whilst using Bazille VST with Live 9.1 (32bit), it doesn't seem to happen when i use the AU version. It seems to be a graphic bug, as the audio / modulation routing still works.

I'd also like to see envelope modules have a separate trigger input, so that you can patch another modulation source (an LFO or the sequencer) instead of the default gate connection. It may also be useful to add a few more logic modules for CV (like OR / && etc...).

These are just some suggestions that keep on coming back to me when i use this synth. Thanks again for the open beta, I may have to share some patches soon :)

I'm enjoying Bazille's weird and wonderful palette a lot; the filters especially sound fantastic. However I'm wondering why the filters don't have the typical 12 dB BPF mode but 6 dB which, I've found, often isn't steep enough for the types sounds I'm trying to create and replicate. I've tried running the filters in series for 12 dB but frankly it's a pain to setup and modulate.
Hi, most bandpass filters labelled "12dB" in fact are 6dB filters. The choice was made because bandpasses are usually considered more quiet than HP or LP filters - they never fully open up.

If you keep the second filter at its default values and set cutoff control to "Offset" rather than "Cutoff" then the second filter will exactly follow the cutoff of the first filter - then it should be less of a PITA to do a serial configuration :)
I see. Yeah many BPF tend to sound too quiet and you have to drive the to boost the sound. Massive's version with adjustable bandwidth has no such issues.

Hah I should've thought of using Offset myself. :x Using that helped me get the results I wanted. Thanks for the help. I can't wait to see the full Bazille!

Unfortunately only the extended-by-another-year alpha version.

We're really close to finishing this, but it won't be this year anymore

(I hope the troubles with plugin formats, OS updates and creepy bugs is over soon and we can pick up speed again)

On the contrary, I think it's very generous to provide us with another free round of Bazille :)

I clicked on this thread just now to ask what might be the destiny of my Bazille experiments after new year, I guess this answers the question. Thanks!

Well since 2013 is almost over, that's fine with me! :D

Btw, knowing full well that it's not a release version, is there *any* kind of documentation out there on Bazille (aside from the videos on youtube). Alpha or even beta level documentation would be fine!

I don't think so... but if you have any questions...

I was playing with bazille last night, trying to approximate the minibrute sound. I can't get the oscillators on bazille to sound thin or dirty enough as a base. Anyone have any suggestions for that?

Also, is there a way to stack the filters to approximate the synthacon filter?

I'm looking for a way to play with the minibrute style sounds when I'm on the road (for work, not performing).

This may however be a nice thing to have as a stand alone, to circumvent shortcomings of various hosts right from the start.
That would be so perfect. THIS is the modular that deserves to sit on the dock, for ready access and frequent flying.

Happy Holidays Urs. Thanks for the wonderful presents. (I'm really digging the new oscillator and filter on Diva.) I hope you and your amazing crew enjoy a long and refreshing break.

I hope this works - I needed to check out revision 1331, adjust the expiration date and build installers… a bit of a stunt but well… if it doesn't work then I'll have to try and fix it inbetween the holidays...

Here's Bazille 0.6 extended for 2014:

Bazille1331Win.zip,
Bazille1331Mac.zip,

With the releases of Satin, Diva 1.3 and with the advent of AAX support, Bazille has climbed top of the list for new developments. We'll also have VST3 to rework, Satin 1.2 to release and Satin RE to work on. However, those just need time from single people and testing. The major effort of the crew is shifting towards Bazille from January (2014).
