Ok so I actually made a song with content from all the packs and stuffed it into the december music cafe competition but honestly I thought there were only maybe 2 or 3 of the packs that actually had decent material. The rest felt pretty lame. I can get way better lifting/falling sound design effects from The Riser or UVI Sweep Machine, a lot of the drum loops were "meh" compared to say Vengence, folder structure in some were completely confusing (WTH honestly does no-one think to make things a bit simpler to navigate?), and a number of them had simple bass notes masquerading as "hits" or "stabs". Come'on, you're going to tell me a shitty single note sample with no flourishes and a bad release is a "stab"?rifftrax wrote:Just bought will update....Vatrox wrote:Guys, any feedback on this one?
Did any of you get it, is it worth buying? I'm mostly interested in those MIDI files and Linguistics pack seems useful, not sure though - what do you think? Never really bothered with premade loops before, I might be better of just getting an AAS sound pack for this priceRational wrote:"DON’T MISS OUT – AVAILABLE 24 HOURS ONLY
Black Octopus have gone merry mad, putting together a pack of such epic proportions it will make your bells jingle!
Seriously this bundle is so huge it includes over 14,500 sounds and samples for a very merry $15!!!
This 15 for $15 bundle includes 15 MEGA sound packs from Black Octopus Sound including thousands of drum samples, vocal samples, one-shots and hundreds of presets."

Nah fam. Overall I guess it's worth $15 if you don't have content that will cover this area and I thought the Joshua vocal bank was probably the best offering here. Otherwise, it's stuff like this that is behind the bulk of the reason that I don't just buy random sample packs.

Welp. I did it again. 2nd time. I posted a chat post in the no chat thread.
And I was just thinking yesterday that I would never do that ever again because I had it 'down' to look before posting.
Wake up an hour ago and boom! I post a chat item in the no chat thread. Man oh man... Merry Christmas! Lolz.

Anyone know how much longer the Lexicon reverbs are on sale for? And how long it will probably be before they're on sale again for this price? $199 for the full PCM Native reverb bundle right now at JRR and audiodeluxe. I see that bestservice already increased their price on it.
Debating between this and Sonikinetic Cappriccio today. Not sure when that will go on sale again either at 50% off. But I'm guessing the Lexicon will before Cappriccio will.

Has anyone used the pluginalliance bx limited that is on sale for $30? Is it worth it or should I just look at buying a second hand elephant license?

it's a pretty good limiter, but even if you bought it for $9 second hand, you'd still have to pay another $20 to activate it at PA.

I just made my first purchase after demoing products some time. Great Christmas spirit, Fredrik was serving in both Xmas days! I recommend you contact directly via the support mail in their site.e@rs wrote:Are you a SC customer? Or know someone that is?
