I can't... She may be lonely but I still like her a lot. Funny... I have a few old guitars that I just can't seem to part with... I've thought about it but I have a bit of an emotional attachment to each one and even though they just sit there, I can't let go... Do I need help???

No, just a larger cupboard.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Thanks for the tips, darcy. :D I know what you mean about attachment. Once you start collecting guitars, it's pretty tough to give any of them up. ;)

I'm worried that if I get a bass there will be no space for it, already! Here's where I've had to stash stuff:

- My Guild acoustic found a space in a nook between our couches
- my LG found a home underneath the futon
- the Pacifica is living under my bed, though I want to put an under-bed storage container there. :(
- Mic case is under an end table, along with the mandolin
- small suitcase full of cables is behind the futon
- I loaned my Yamaha acoustic to my girlfriend's sister a while ago, which is a good thing because I have no space for it
- My mic stands are in my storage room (down the hall, not in the apartment proper) because there's literally nowhere for them to live. I have to take stands out as I need them, and return them to storage immediately afterwards.

I have a guitar stand that will hold up to 4 guitars lined up, which SEEMS like it'd be space-economical, but I can't seem to find a home for it. I'd have to take out a bookcase to make'em fit, and then they'd be in a high-traffic area and I'd be worried about them getting knocked around.

My girlfriend loves it, I can tell you. :D

I'm lucky, I have a rather large unfinished basement which has become my playground and storage area, so space isn't an issue. The tough part is justifying why I need 5 electrics, an accoustic-electric, an accoustic, 2 basses, a banjo and a mandolin to my wife. Her argument is that you can only play one at a time anyways so why not just have one. Women!!! What do they know? Same goes for a lot of things. Why do you need a Mesa Boogie? Peavey not good enough? Or cars... Why do you need a car that has 300 horespower and can go 240 km/h? The speed is 100, 110 if your lucky... They just don't understand.

Okay so she gave me choice on that one, and I went with the car. It cost quite a bit more than the amp and I think still wingding the amp down the road a bit.

If you havent gotten the bass done yet, I could do it for you as well.

Hi Greg

I would love to have a shot at this too. I am a "billy basic" bass player with an old 1972 Precision barstadised with SD "P" pickup and SD Musicman active pickup. Play through Tech32 original sansamp and Valvotronix tube DI. I'll download tonight (New Zealand time) and check it out. Hopefully be able to get something done this weekend.

Cheers

Peavey makes some GREAT products! :D

Anybody who wants to give this a go, feel free-- I'll even render up a version that includes your own bassline if yours doesn't get chosen for the "published" version. As long as everyone sort of realizes that "there can be only one!" and doesn't get offended when their hard work doesn't get chosen.

Peavy classic 50 kicks ass.

Hi Greg

I'm just a little confused. Which drum track do you want the bass line done for? The two differ considerably in the kick drum which is kinda important for us bass players. Also the MP3 track kick seems to have a few timimg issues.

Sorry, to clear things up:

- the Tracktion archive still contains the OLD drums. I should get around to updating that!
- the mp3 files contain the proper drums
- If you have already downloaded the Tracktion archive, you just need to add android's MIDI file and feed it into Natural Studios 7 free kit in order to get the same sound as what's on the mp3s. If you already have NS7, it's only a minute of work.

The kick is very different, indeed! I've left android's 'live' takes intact, preferring the human feel over the quantization.

Thanks for asking-- other people might have been unsure. The mp3 WITH bass is using my old mockup bassline, and you can really tell that it wasn't made with the current kick drum in mind. :D
