2 AthlonXP2800+ networked. Runs rather nicely for a person who doesn't have much time to make music at the moment. Hopefully being fixed this weekend!!

I use a Dell p4 1700 with a soundblaster live 5.1 card and kx drivers giving me a latency of 5ms (i sometimes have to up that to 10ms if i have 20+ vsts/vstis running concurrently.) I'm purely a hobbyist though and couldn't really care less about most "pro" aspects of music making.

I have a laptop with a P4 1.6, 512 meg memory and the early model of the Echo Indigo. It does ok for Acid, Live or Reason. Not so well with Sonar and vsti's.
2 desktops. The new main is a P4 3.2 with 2 gig DDR 400 memory, 2 SATA 300 gig HD's and an external 300 Gig firewire drive, dual layer DVD RW, and EmulatorX Studio. It does most anything, but I can still easily overload it if I get carried away with VSTi's like Rhino, Reaktor and Z3ta+. The second internal SATA really helped with streaming. As a practice all programs run from the primary drive, streaming and loops come from the secondary internal drive, and I write to the external drive.

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

Well, since everyone else is tellin, then here goes: I just recently upgraded from an AMD 400 mgz unit with 17" monitor to an AMD K7, 1.0 gig unit with 19" monitor, and the diff is day and night. Wow, I can play and get a note out of nearly any synth out there without crashing Muzys, or worse, crashing windows and forcing a reboot!!!
Motherboard soundcard (VIA) and a CD re-writer.
Wow! 1.0 gig!!! I feel like I'm running with the really big dogs.
