unfortunatly i just started to use drumkit from hell 2, so i don't have any samples, but planning to record a whole album this year.

Yeh, Messhuggahs drummer is one of my favs. (Adrian Erlandsson is king however - (At the Gates/COF)).

I checked out the DKFH2 demo and Im amazed. This sound for 100$!

yes, check my signature. I would be glad to hear some comments from some guys who know the genres well how to call my music. Just for the typical conversations: "You know eh, I'm doing some numetal-crossover pop with neo classical strings in it!" I dunno. But would be interesting to know.

My guitar sounds are all POD2, most is done with the insane amp. Got a custom strat with Floyd Rose and a SH11 at the bridge. I used fat strings dropped to C#.
Some Wizoo samples for the drums.
Strings are Halion Strings 1.
Bass is most of the time a synth (mostly US-1) as my electric bass isn't really good. A cheap Ibanez 5string. It's only on one song.

hey DyerMaker, is that halion strings set realistic sounding using fast violin runs? i at one time wanted to use it with some metal shred intermingled .

I mostly listen to metal (Opeth, oldschool Metallica, Isis, Agalloch, Katatonia etc.), but play more of a Pink Floydish style of music...the CD I'm working on now is much more of a metal style, but acoustic.

You got the bands right! Metallica until Justice. Opeth are my heroes. Pain of Salvation is also nice. And Jesu you propably heard.

making digitalmetal is hard. The drums are enough to make me run screaming naked through the streets in aggravation to get a crawl beat is insanely (hur, hur) difficult.

it's easy to use and makes different timesignatures really painless.

Try Nightrage (stupid name...) if you havent yet. Singer of At the Gates and drummer from Haunted + 2 Greeks on guitar. Specially the first album Sweet Vengeance kick arse..

yeah I got the Sweet Vengeance cd of Nightrage very cool. I prefer Testament to Metallica from those Bay Area bands.

I once tried to make sequenced drums for @thegates 'face of all your fears' (erm maybe the song title is wrong ) first track on slaughter of the soul? It sounded so baaaaddddd!!! heh heh not even close to Adrian Erlandsson
