I'm not really knowledgeable about the technical stuff - so I'm sorry but I don't really understand it...Hink wrote:

thanx Marc JX8P,
spuddle ....does that effect the sound...maybe absorb sone resonance?

very cool.. i love crazy stuff like this
you should get 3x old levi`s remove the buttons,
and glue the levi-buttons on that guitar...
that`ll make it even hotter
great idea!
don`t call me crazy,
..just last week..
i was daydreaming of ways to style my
midi-keyboard...
..maybe with furr ??? (tiger, bear, cow)
that would be the craziest keyboard around,
and it would keep warm in winter season.

Hehe, no Hink the sound is fine, it's not going to alter the sound much drastically, the pickups really push the guitar (hot lace sensors) to break out with the high output so no problems with sustain etc.
I'm tempted to get some jean button studs on the guitar somewhere like you say bamboo
I'll post the other pics in a sec..

I dunno...it may not have a negative effect on the sound, but it's got to have some effect on it. In fact it would make sense too me that the lace sensors would only enhance this. Again that doesn't mean it's negative.
If you take two strats, one with a pickguard and one that's rear routed there is some change in sound believe it or not. Pick-ups not only pick up the vibration of the strings but the resonance of the wood, which itself interacts with the strings to create tone. So one denim is quite porous and will absorb some sound and two, the sound from the wood wont have the same effect.
I don't think anyone will argue that strings anchored to the body (through the body actually) like mine, which is a hardtail gives fantastic sustain as does the neck through the body construction...both of those rely on the resonance of the wood.
Now again I'm not saying it's a negative effect, in fact the concept is quite intriguing to me because of what it might do to the sound...in fact I wonder if there would be a market for guitars with leather and denim jackets...
