Yes but I wish the stripes weren't there. Can the stripes be optional?

A Zebra without stripes? :-o

Hmm, well, I could make a Stripeless Mod. They're just a layer in a Photoshop file... turning it off means getting rid of them... hmmm...

Yes and no...

A lot of stuff in the demos was made with things that weren't in Z1.5... such as the oscillator effects or the wavetablism...

One thing that really makes a difference in sound is the move of dual/quad modes from voice level to oscillators etc. In Z1 you have multiple voices playing at once. In Z2 it's just one voice with dual or quad oscillators. This means that in Z2 it's the detuned signal that goes through filters. Thus the filter overdrive sounds different for otherwise identical settings.

Not really. But there's a volume scaling by key and/or velocity for almost anything that generates sound, uhm, oscillators, FMOs... That way you can make velocity crossfades, key splits whatsoever. Fortuantely, anything that does not produce audible sound does also not use any cpu ;)

However, there's gonna be some sort of modulation scaling, but it's not yet finished.

Wow, this thing looks [and sounds] amazing. I'm a very happy user of Z1.5 and I check here every few days for the magical announcement that Z2 is ready for mass consumption. Those screenshots are making me just drool!

Urs, if you need any [more] beta testers, I'll be first in line to prepay for a pre-copy of Z2... :D

I just wanna make sure that the initial patches make good use of the new XY Controls and then...

Awesome, not intending to rush you mate. I just took delivery of a Novation ReMote 61 (has an XY finger pad), this this is just SCREAMING to control Z2. Can hardly wait ... but will...
