I appreciate your efforts and would love to get my hands on this.

Unfortunately, my apartments isp has blocked all p2p ports so I can't get access, ( a growing epidemic in the US)
any other means via ftp (port 21) or hosted somewhere?

Since you put so much work into it, why keep it finite? All the more reason to keep it longstanding and be THE source of the reverb standard!

I would like to give you a big thank you too. The torrent health for the file is great (1000% in bitlord). You said you have made another set of impulses before. Where can I find those?

Post

It seems like a need a spcial application to open a torrent file? If so, where do I get this?

Hi jeff, if you go to http://www.bittornado.com/ and download the latest release, install it, allow it acces through your firewall etc, it should work. Bittornado has no spyware/adware etc and is very simple to use. Set the upload speed dial appropriately.

If you have an ftp server and if bleebsen is ok (you'll have to ask him first), I can upload the file for you.

So hangon a minute - are these impulses made by you personally?

There are ~ 50000 ports, just choose another one...
(And if they are all throttled, which i highly doubt, choose port 80...)

edit: Thanks for the impulses!

Uhmmm......One thing bug me all the time...Will there be some problems when i load those impulses since i use 48000khz (yours are 44khz)for my regular work in my host (SX3.1+Waves IR)??

Those science number i just cant understand :(

Post

uh? how big is this file? here it says 89mb.. ?

Post

lavoll: yes, 89MB that is.

kmonkey: I'm not sure. It should work, but there will be some resampling involved inside your convolution plugin probably. Maybe someone'd ask aleksey ;).

orangenut: yes, these are selfmade (with a little help from a friend, and a little borrowed 480L obviously).

n-04:05:03:05:7: I'm fine with uploading those impluses somewhere else.

Hi bleebsen,

excellent work! Looking forward to employing these a lot. Although I never thought much of the L480 (hardware) in the first place. I think it sounds a bit dated already, grainy at worst (no matter how industry standard it is). Nevertheless it still has uses like anything with unique sound.

I'd like some recording related specs though. What was the equipment used to record these? AD/DA? Bitrates? or did you do the whole thing digitally? What impulse(s) did you use for the click?

People often forget to specify these even though they are just as important on impulses as they are on any normal recorded source.

especially bad AD/DA converters (jitter errors) can influence the sound almost too much. (which is also why about 70% of noisevault sucks.)

Very nice, looking forward to trying them out. Yes, it works whith BitTorrent, how much faster is download speed whith broadband compared to dial-up = is it 4times?
