in the registered version of energy xt, everything is restored without the need to save the ext project - it's saved within the host project.

you don't have to save the ext-vst settings - i've never used renoise, but for me it works with audiomulch, inside eXT itself and with FL studio...nitex wrote:I've tried the demo of eXT and i'm impressed so far, one can do really crazy things with that modular routing stuff. A last question, when i save my Renoise project with an eXT instance, which includes several effects and a LiveSlice instance and load that project again in Renoise, is the whole setup within the eXT instance restored, or do i need to save this extra as eXT project and prepare for file hunting when loading my songs. I wasn't able to test this, because the demo doesn't load saved projects.
Alex
i mostly use eXT nowadays, usually with one instance of itself in the sequencer. can't wait for xt2 to come out.

eXT as VST reacts like any other VST, so everything you do inside eXT will be saved with the host song. but i always save a copy of the ext file as well to have a backup if something goes wrong (which never happened for now).nitex wrote:A last question, when i save my Renoise project with an eXT instance, which includes several effects and a LiveSlice instance and load that project again in Renoise, is the whole setup within the eXT instance restored, or do i need to save this extra as eXT project and prepare for file hunting when loading my songs.
