Thanks for the word but you're right, the midi pattern is what I was referring to.blue on blue wrote:SDV - edit: nevermind,

I used to use Automation clips but I found a better way - at the bottom of the song, keep all my automation event patterns, well factored, with meaningful names, and then I can reuse automation as I please too. Its not visual but I guess I don't really need it.
Usually, my automation section loos something like
Tempo 104
Tempo 143
Master FadeOut
Drums HP In 8
Arp HP In 8 (this means, 8 bars long)
Arp HP Mid 4
Arp HP Out 16
etc...

Yeah, I also do this. I also color my automation patterns in darker colours to distinguish them from the non-automation ones.arke wrote:I used to use Automation clips but I found a better way - at the bottom of the song, keep all my automation event patterns, well factored, with meaningful names, and then I can reuse automation as I please too. True, the event editor is much better! You can tweak all things, this includes that you can tweak a instrument to change the fx.Aukikco wrote:Hmm, by zooming in, I just get about 1/4 of the screen height, since the zoom percentage is limited. In event editor I get to zoom as much as I want...mbell wrote:They are just as accurate 'vertically' (you might want to zoom in)
I´m on f**king fire!

I prefer using Auto clips over the Event editor
1) The add node and drag for the curve profile is much better imo
2) In the playlist, I find it easier to see the curve itself rather than a pattern for arrangement mods
3) I like that you can then assign many parameters to one single autoclip
