is there an emoticon for a sudden burst of excitement followed by the hard thump of reality reaaserting itself?

I am going to write this in very big letters just to remove any confusion:
THE POST STARTING THIS THREAD WAS FROM NOVEMBER 2002 (yes 2002).
Back then, Jules had in mind calling what we now call Tracktion 1.5 (or maybe even 1.4) Tracktion 2.0. Back then, distribution was much smaller, and Tracktion lacked features such as Rack Filters.
Names have changed, that's all. T2 now means control surfaces and an improved piano roll and n + 1 new features that people want or don't want, and is probably still several months off.
CMM - digging that thread up was probably not such a good idea; people here have weak hearts you know.

I agree.
But for all who are wondering yes the original post by Jules is from November 2002!Apologies to any of you who have been upset by this.
Again I just went through some of the oldest posts to get some idea of what Jules had planned for Tracktion and thought we could all discuss the progress and changes from the way things were then to the way things are now.
A bit like the happy Tracktion thread what's good lately just bit of discussion on what was and is great about Tracktion really, leading up to Tracktion 2 but with a twist...
Hey we can have a laugh and enjoy ourselves while we wait for Tracktion 2 can't we...?
I expect Jules to come rushing in anytime now...
As this is meant to be a nostalgic post...
1.Who was the first poster here after Jules...?
2.Any idea's on exactly how many people use Tracktion?
3.What was it like for you back in November 2002 on the Tracktion forum an all day one on one with Jules?
4.What package where you using at the time(November 2002)? Cubase, Sonar e.t.c
5. How did you hear about Tracktion?
6. What made you switch?

well I only started using Tracktion in the spring of 2003.... and was using Logic 5 (PC) before... I considered switching to Mac - but someone here on KvR told me that Tracktion has a freeze function, too... which made me try it... and I fell in love head over feet....
