I'm hoping it matches my wishlist. Having something akin to MuZynth in would be nice (so long as it's fully modular - presets are fine).

Jo can't tell, because he's under a non disclosure agreement, but it seems that at some point he lost control over Muzys to someone else. Anyway we can still recognize some traits of Muzys in the new Muton :D .

Because some people want it? There were a number of users who liked the workflow in Muzys and the future had promised some additions to the functionality that didn't happen due to the stuff that happened behind the scenes, so perhaps Muton will fulfill/exceed the potential that was shown in Muzys.

On a different note: Computer Music magazine has mentioned a replacement for CMuzys is in the works and that it should be available 'soon'...I wonder whether CMuton could be the replacement?

At the very least it's gonna be a vst host which is a HUGE improvement for me (I only have Logic Express and I do feel limited by the AU thing sometimes)

If it has anything akin to even the simple wav/player architecture of Muzys 1.0, chances are I'll never touch plug in instrument again.

Marco :)
