Routing VST MIDI output to another track

I think chico.co.uk is right with the approach.
After trying several loopback means including a plug I rolled in synthedit, racks, Maple MIDI and Sonic Foundry's Virtual MIDI ports, nothing produced good results with proper timing and I can confirm the errors were not just a constant delay. I did not try MIDI Yoke or MIDI Ox which also might work well. My MIDI hardware driver has a patch bay. Perhaps you could get good results with a similar software device.
