Cosign. Incredibly useful, incredible sounding. He's a brilliant man and I don't think he sleeps. Voxengo has been my secret weapon for a few years now. I'll hate it when he goes Mac: I'll lose my advantage over everyone else in LA (If they're smart enough to figure it out, that is...)

Might as well chime in...
In addition to providing plugs that match or beat the competition at a lower price point, almost every single one of them brings something to the table that the others don't.
People sometimes complain that the plugs have too many options. Well, I for one, like "deep" plugs that I can constantly explore and rediscover. Options are never a bad thing, in my book. For example... UAD's Precision Limiter. Tho it is very nice, and it's metering and general GUI are more convenient than Elephant's, you get so much more value with Elephant -- built-in dither, excellent high-pass filters, oversampling, optional stereo linkage... amazing value given the price.
I also appreciate that more often than not, Voxengo offers something that doesn't exist in any other form. Soniformer comes to mind. Completely unique and, for me, indispensable.
There are definitely a couple of UAD plugs I've purchased in the past year that I wish had been spent on Voxengo stuff, instead.

Voxengo is way cool, no doubt. Great plugs that I can afford. His site is great too, very functional and easy to navigate. Aleksey is honest and caring.

Edit last post... Vox was my goto untill i purchased Waves Diamond. Now I use Waves for all my tracks either to compress or fatten or thin out or remove noise waves cant be beat. Then for mastering I go with IZOTOPE 3. voxformer i still use on vocals howevr. So keep up the good work Alex and thanks for filling in a GAP with my Vocal work.

You'll find some nice freebies on his site too: RateBrain is a top quality sample rate conveter and the base version is free, Boogex is an excellent guitar and bass amp sim, Tube Amp -- really useful too and there are quite a collection of verbs, delays and eqs too. Some of the demos are pretty generous (eg the devonvolution plug) and allow you to do some useful work if you only have a small run to do. (The full version allows batch processing in that case.)

unfortunately this is the kind stuff someone like aleksey will have to put up with forever. im not saying you're wrong to use anything in particular, whatever works for you is best right. but i do feel many people dont 'get' the level voxengo is at in regards to quality of sound.Stairsteps wrote:Edit last post... (sorry i cant resist:) i actually cant believe people can even trust a company that still sells: l1 and rennaisance processors for $200-300 each! can you see aleksey 10 years on selling el1 as a separate product for $300? anyone who had any amount of pride in their work simply couldnt.
this is what the thread is about and voxengo represents to me. so yeah waves are at the other end of the scale and shouldnt be mentioned here.

I own soniformer, transmodder, redunoise, marquis, gliss eq, curve eq, polyquasher, elephant and probably some others I've forgotten.
They're all very very high quality and I use them in every mix. I'll be using Marquis even more once my dualcore 4400 gets here

Marquis is my standard issue compressor for tracks
i wouldn't work without it at this point.

voxformer is such a useful tool. I don't really use the compressors on there anymore, usually use the marquis for that, but the presence and the de-esser are AWESOME ! Not to mention the saturation. I still place it on every vocal track for a little de-essing at a minimuum, it is so transparent that sometimes, I wonder if the de-esser is on, I then turn it off for a second and all the s's and t's come flying at me, and I'm reminded that yep, it was on !

Yes, Voxengo has done well with his award-seeking plugins among the forum here.
sadly the magazine reviews and awards and major producers seem to go elsewhere.
