I hessitate to even mention this because I assume it is so well known, but here's my comment anyway...

Voxengo's plugins are among the best I have ever heard. I bought the UAD-1 card a few years ago and really wonder if that money would not have been better spent on Voxengo plugins. Despite the nice feature that the UAD-1 does its own processing, if I had it to do over I may would have gone with the full line of Voxengo plugs. Unfortunately, my (yet unfinished) studio construction cost have left me with no money left to pay my utility bills, much less invest in more software and gear, but if and when I do have money to spend on audio software, Voxengo plugs will be at the top of the list.

All that said... let me give a giant thanks to Aleksey for the wonderful free plugins. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

If you don't have Voxengo's free plugins you owe it to yourself to go to their site and give them try.

BTW, my comments are totally unsolicited

The speed with which he releases his plug ins is simply Ultra-Sonic. This guy has imagination and the skills to bring it to life. Personally, I didn’t find his plugins useful (I’m happy with my power core) in my productions but I’m almost sure that I’ll be very tempted to join the crowd when his plugins will hit v3. I can’t wait to see what he is cooking in his digital kitchen. Also, his presence on this forum is very much appreciated.

Voxengo is one of those sweet little things in life you never dreamt of, but you thank your lucky stars Aleksey has created what he has daily...truly fantastic pluggins...:)

i am beginning to see that this line of plugins is indeed top quality. i tried the gliss eq recently and its quite impressive i must say. quite impressive. im also a fan of curve eq. being able to see your response curve is invaluable.

i guess i just wish i knew what they were all good for hahaha!

voxformer is the best channel strip I've heard, crunchessor is a powerful, low cpu usage compressor with sidechain....Elephant is a little more for mastering but is soooo nice and subtle and lampthruster has grown into a great eq-ish tool....I thought it would be more like a bbe/warmer, but it's tube warming sounds pale in comparison to it's spectral benefits imo...:)

I'd like to echo these positive sentiments. I am a Voxengo customer and have dealt with Aleksey many times. In summary...

- Very very good plugins, bugfree, work every time !
- Aweomse company to deal with regarding problems, feature requests or general questions. Aleksey is what every other software company wishes they could be !
- Very reasonable prices and a very fair upgrade policy.

Aleksey thank you, if your plugins covered a few other little areas, I think I would be using Voxengo for everything, but until then, I still will use Kjaerhus for some things.

I love your work mate

Cheers

A timely thread. Voxengo Recorder. Simple and effective. Thanks guys! :)

i agree, i like voxengo plugins very much, bought myself soniformer and elephant, and use them everyday. the free boogex also rocks.
atm i think voxengo is best in dynamics and eq department.
maybe some experimental fx stuff in the future?
a wild fftstuff-dynamics-glitch-live slicer with some boogex in it would be cool;)

CurveEO
GlissEQ
Soniformer
Pristine Space Light

similar sentiments here.

aleksey's quality of service is truely flawess imo.

his presence here is excellent too, i can see that he 'hears' and understands way beyond most, and is truely passionate about his work. i only wish i had the experience and ears to fully apreciate the sonic detail that goes on.

anyway, i think voxengo is representative of this new software era which brings with it the potential for much improved objectivity to the producer over their sound and engineering. we can compare, analyse, and just generally have resources to understand so much better.

so for me its plugs like voxengos that offer you the control to take things to the next level (however small). although its this that makes making the most of them take longer than others.

I got Voxformer and released 6 songs so far with it. The quality of my voice takes has increased dramaticaly. I work with Tracktion 2 with Mackie Compressor but there's nothing like Voxformer. I also have a ThreeQ by JoeMeek.
However, I prefer the GEQ-7 by Kjaerhus for EQ for its musicality.

yep! remarkable developer and plug-ins. My go-tos on most of my recent pieces.

I'll add to the clamor by saying that yes, my best effects investments have been the Voxengo plugins. I can say that there's not one track of any I've made since I bought a pile of them that doesn't have at least 1 Voxengo effect.. :-o

I'm personally a CurveEQ addict, and Soniformer.. :hihi:
