I had one of those Gator 2u bags. The few days i had it in there it was flickering on high in the system temp occasionally. That was when the OS supported the temperature sensor setting. Got it in a 3u Gator mini rack now. Fits perfect from back to front. Back end sits about an inch from the exit so it's not circulating the air round the inside of the case in the larger types. Plus it has 1U space on top to let the heat out more.
Those Gator bags are'nt good, they are lined with a felt type interior.

wow i just bought a gator bag, a 2-u space and the receptor was on for about 2 hours and it almost burnt my finger off!
After reading all these things thank god I took it out of the bag, now I'm thinking of getting a hard cased 4-U gig rack and leaving one space above and one space below. I'd like to know more about this upgradable fan?

I've been using this 3u rack for about a year without any problems:

It opens up completely at both ends and I make sure the venting underneath the Receptor is unobstructed.
