Karma, I have found one mirror so far. If you would still like to be a second mirror, please contact me via email.
Take care,
-VR
PS: The files are not large, so far all of them together total are just 2.8MB rar'ed. This is two insturments. I won't be adding TONS of them, just a couple now and then, some of which are absolutely tiny.

what do you mean tuning?Von Richter wrote:They are .rar filesKriminal wrote:what format?
If you mean sampler format, just use awave or something to convert them to whatever you want. I'm hoping to get them into giga, sf2, k2, and nn-xt format.
At any rate, you can always just take the wav files and map them yourself, but of course you'll lose the tuning I did.
Are the wavs labelled correctly, BassSample_C4.wav etc etc

Guess he's talking about some finetuning made in the appropriate sampler(s).

Kriminal,
The wavs are not labeled. I'm making these by manually auditioning and sorting through countless thousands of randomly numbered samples. No small task!
By tuning, I mean just that, tuning. The samples have no unity notes. Being decompressed from mp3's, and having no labels means no auto-assign. I am tediously mapping them by ear, then matching them to a reference sine wave for fine-tuning. I have an extensive knowledge of orchestral instruments which helps me to identify each sample. Even so, there are plenty of turkeys, so I have to leave some notes out here and there.

Well, it's all ok, seriously. I once did a test patch of some violins and tried it in some mix, was working quite fine.Kriminal wrote:mp3's? blimey.
Seems as if they slowly started to label their patches properly, also offering some "packages". Unfortunately there's just one so far.

If you still need server space I can add them as free downloads on my Post Musical Instruments Direct Delivery shop http://michielpost.tradebit.com/files.php/6008 .
You can drop me an email through the contact link of the shop.
People will have free access and you don't pay anything for the data used.
BTW, I spoke to the Philharmonia site owner and he will get the samples available in Wave file format with adequate naming conventions. Just a matter of time but it could save you countless hours of tuning and guessing.

Michiel, that's been "on the way" for ages now... I have a feeling that it might never happen, so I just went ahead and started organizing these myself. Unless there is a new development which I am not aware of...?Michiel Post wrote: BTW, I spoke to the Philharmonia site owner and he will get the samples available in Wave file format with adequate naming conventions. No, nothing you don't already know. He just wants to get the samples organised. But if it's a mess for such a long time it would take a miracle to get it fixed soon.Von Richter wrote:Michiel, that's been "on the way" for ages now... Let me know if you need the hosting.

Yea +1 for sampletorrents.com.
Yesterday evening, I downloaded both Mats Helgesson Piano and clarinet at high speed rates, and the more the site is known the faster transfers will be.
