Huh?

You mean you're looking for something like this:

Seriously, what is he talking about? Having instrument presets embeded in a Kore preset that will recall a loaded instrument's state without it's original preset on a different machine?

Is that right?

Basically I was hoping that Kore could store preset information but it's not so. If Kore asks any plug in loaded to conform to a Kore preset standard, then why wouldn't it be possible to store said presets on the hardware itself? Especially since Kore isn't being sold as a software only approach. Sure it's another layer of complication to the hardware, but honestly, the last thing I need is another audio device hogging up USB bandwidth... MIDI is fickle enough as it is IMO. I've got a firewire card, and an X-Station for my machines, I would assume most people interested in Kore would already own a decent audio interface, but hey, I'm just your average customer....

A controller is cool, especially one as integrated with the software as Kore is, but a neat and simple way to transfer tweaked presets between machines woud have been really nice. Basically something like, save a preset in Kore while working on a song on your tower, and that preset is available to you on your laptop, not impossible to implement I would think, just have XP or OSX recognize a certain small amount of space in Kore as a USB drive, and store presets there.

If you own more than one machine, you know what I'm talking about, unless of course you happen to be organized or something....:hihi:

Yeah, that's a great idea, but what happens when you build a multi-sample Kore patch(which contains audio files from several sampler instruments), and have accompanying audio files weighing a couple hundred megabytes or more? If it was patch data only, that would be swell and I could see something like you envision, but this thing's main role is being an external controller/audio interface, not a glorified flashcard..

And no, sorry, I'm not very organized myself..But I DO see where you're coming from now.

My kingdom for an organized single application for mac an PC that could do this for me...........
