It si without VAT - unless you have a company VAT number or lives outside EUc3boy wrote:Hi Mr Scarbee,
I have already placed a preorder for the VKGB, but I realise now that there is no mention of VAT. Is the VAT included in the prices? I would probably have to cancel if I had to pay 25% VAT on top.
Thanks
Do you want Scarbee KGB or KVC working on Receptor?

Hmm - you pay VAT when you order from ANY EU country - UK, Germany, France etc. So unless yoy only buy from US stores - you must be used to this...c3boy wrote:Ah,
I can't justify paying 25% more than everyone else just because im in the EU. I will cancel the preorder, and if the Clavinet D6 comes out in Kompakt format I will get that.
You makw it sound as if I'm trying to cheat you just because you are from EU
It's the law - I have to charge VAT...it's the law, man..

And the fact is, if you buy from the US as a European, you'll end up paying import duty and VAT on your purchase anyway, which tend to amount to more than the original European VAT. When the pricelist is roughly similar, like 79€ or $99 like it is often the case for VST products, it's cheaper to buy from a European seller.

Well, nothing we can do about different VAT rates in the member states.
Do as I do, find a friend who has his own business, give him the money and ask him to buy it for you so VAT can be waived. It's worth it on large sums.

That is a possibility yeah. I'll hang fire and see what the order count goes upto before I dive in again with a frends VAT. It could take quite a while to get up to the count total. I am in no way accusing Mr Scarbee of 'trying to cheat' me. But as with a lot of musicians, we work to a tight budget, and the price including VAT is too much for me. I already have the RSP73, a GENUINE copy, and only really want the D6 and VKFX, as I have the Wurli on the NI Elektrik to use. Apart from that, Scarbee products are great and for what I want there are no better at the moment.
