had a 5 min play - (so far) makes everything sound like it's being swarmed and devoured by turbo-cyber-electro-roaches. haven't quite got the hang of syncing it to rhythmic/percussive stuff although that could be because I haven't really tried...

sorry.
about the name/description - I'm sure that's what it does, but it doesn't sound like that's what it does. (but the only alternative name I came up with was german, loosely translating as "eat arse!")
"thanks for the info"xoxos wrote:the unmarked button in the middle is sequence randomisation (ergo #of steps function as probability.. random seed is determined by bpm regardless of sync and precise setting of rate knob..)

calm down love, I said I hadn't got the hang of it, not you hadn't got the hang of it. I just slapped it on a beat, chained end to end (rather than 'correctly' looped) regardless of host tempo. that's all i had time to do, it not being my day off.xoxos wrote:syncs automatically to transport as ~everythnig else i've released for the last two years.clueless wrote:haven't quite got the hang of syncing it to rhythmic/percussive stuff although that could be because I haven't really tried...

"sandh"
"Essen Arsch"

thought it was less referential than "ouroboros"...

Well Ru I know you don't give a damn what I think anymore, -but-, this is IMHO the best plug you've release since Steam. I don't care for PM'd VST, so it's great to see you do straight up experimental stuff like this again. I believe you excel the mostest with device of this nature. Almost, but not quite, as good as the almighty Gum. Most importantly, this being experimental it still retains a sound I've never heard anywhere else. That is a rare hell of an achievement in the world of FX these days. I'll definitely use (Sample and Hold) in the future. Thank you.

yes and no :pJackDark wrote:Well Ru I know you don't give a damn what I think anymore
i told you how to do this on the last page - shift registers
take your pulse clock and use it to pass (lvl adj.) pulses from a +zero-crossings detector to the shift register - the first s.r. pulse happens when the next 0xing happens, the next happens when the next one happens..
..feed the 1st and 2nd pins into pins 1 + 2 of a subtract module so when #1 is high you get a pulse and when #2 is high it turns it off.. voila, a gate for exactly one wavecycle (lp filter audio to 0xing detector to get 'audio range wavecycles')
..so if you use a host synced pulse clock to reset your s.r., you can capture the next full wavecycle using this method and use it to drive anything.. the 2nd out of the s.r. acts as a gate pulse for 'after the wavecycle,' so you can use it to turn a process on and off.. like 100%feedback in a delay
..or with a few samples latency, the 'play' button on a sampler module you recorded into with the first pulse..
fsu, jay-dee.
