Waves PAZ is quite good. But it's not free.
When playing the bassline, the different notes should show the same volumes and the same curve-form in the analyzer. Make sure, the resolution of the scale for frequencies and amplitudes is set high enough (zoom in). It will take some time to get a feeling for the analyzer.
