Cakewalk generally has excellent support and the staff participate in their forums. Very impressive.

First, thanks a lot for the answer...
After 1 months of trying to get this problem resolved alone, i thought i was going to have more help by posting on forums (which seems to be the case)...
I will consider i'm helped when i have my DHL tracking number.
The box is still not shipped...
I don't have the feeling i'm asking much.

Based on a similar thread on the Cakewalk forums, I believe that you are being already helped. If that is not the case, please email me: carljacobson at cakewalk dot com
Headquest, could you edit your post above so my email address does not get picked up by spam bots.
Thanks,
Carl

OK, that's the response I needed to see. I'll get someone on this.

Sorry to butt in but while you're here could you sort out the problem with the current offer of free shipping for orders £69 or over because I tried last week to order the Dimension Pro upgrade (from Pro5/2) but it still tried to charge me for shipping so I had to cancel and I pointed it out through the same feedback box but haven't had a reply either and times running out for the offer (especially since I needed this sorted before I go into hospital tomorrow so I don't miss the offer)
thanks
thanks

The Cakewalk support has gone for a major breakdown lately. Their forum is not accessable anymore and I have sent at least 2 emails to their support in the last month that has not been replied to.
I think this is a typical case of sales growth not being met by growth in support structures. (Bloated corporates)

In fairness though, I think this is possibly due to Cakewalk's enormous and uncharacteristic generosity to users. Since April/May they did a promotion where all Sonar registered users could pick up P5v2 for just $99, which was an insanely nice gesture on their part.Sepheritoh wrote: I think this is a typical case of sales growth not being met by growth in support structures. Remember too that during this quarter they have launched Kinetic 2, and I expect there have been large numbers of hobbyists cashing in on the cheap upgrade to that.
My guess is that they have been absolutely swamped since then and are simply going through a blip trying to catch up with this temporary surge in demand.
I do hope that normal service is resumed as soon as possible of course, and that you guys get the stuff you have been waiting too long for.

I can understand what you say. I have just been used to very good support from them. Their support was by far better than any I got from any other company in this field. It was a bit dissapointing to see it slip a bit. Still a great product and there was no mission critical problems. The total opposite than what I can say from their German compettitor, who's product was and still is flawed and I'm still waiting almost a year later for a reply to any of my emails or even posts on their forum. Am I bithing now? OK, I'll stop. (That reminds me about the forum - it seriously sucks that I am not able to access Cakewalk's forum)

Not sure what the problem is you're having with the forum. I'm on it right now. No problems at all. Are you getting any error message when you try to access the Sonar forum? 404, server error?Sepheritoh wrote: it seriously sucks that I am not able to access Cakewalk's forum

Strange. I clicked on that link, then placed my cursor over "User Forums" at the top of that page and clicked on "Sonar" and it took me straight to the forum. Strange indeed. Are you using a firewall or any pop-up blocking sw?Sepheritoh wrote:This is the error I get:
