i knew i'd seen one somewhere...xoxos wrote:look everybody.
i know there's some kind of unwritten law that says that everybody ever will always ignore any gating plugin i release for eyars and years.
i can release any kind of plugin i want, usually people use them, but not a gate. nobody wants to acknowledge that i release gating plugins.
i do.
they have shuffle.
they also have tempo-synced lfos which produce nice rhythmic effects.
okay?
now i know you'll never see this and i'll just come off as some prat, but it's all a big font joke anyway.
have a nice day, and have a free gating plugin that does stuff you want it to do.
see the shuffle? on the gating plugin?
look at those lfos - yumm!!! yummy yummy!!!
good for stuff!!! mmmm-hmmmm!!!!!!
/me removes xoxos gate filter from his goggles
it matches ordinate as well

My god, xoxos: I'm going to be the first to download your amazing new gate!
I hope your bandwidth can handle it.

IndyGo gater It's got no GUI but it has a choice of steps to 16, a single 'edge (width) control, BPM. Also volume for every single step. This last making it well worth having.
I think it's free

dl'ing xoxos plug now.
I found at least 3 different ones on smartelectronics sites earlier today.
Destroyfx has one, and mdsp has at least one as well.

xoxos - your gate was very cool, except it was making the old clicking sounds - can anyone verify if the gating cutoff isn't smooth? It might just be my machine.

the minimum envelope times are very fast, eg. a couple of samples, and time is an exponential scale so that most positions left of the 1/2 way mark are all mor eor less 'instantaneous.'bduffy wrote:xoxos - your gate was very cool, except it was making the old clicking sounds - can anyone verify if the gating cutoff isn't smooth? it works perfectly, i've implemented this loads of times..

Wow, you're really going back in time there! They're still advertising Mixman Studio on that site! "Added October 31, 1998"!!Debutante wrote:Do a search for Indygo plugins. A very nice low CPU alternative is Neon Gate from Dream Vortex Studio.

EDIT: Oh, wait; they still make MixMan!

Yeah, it's gating perfectly, the swing is awesome, sounds great. But just getting some clicks...xoxos wrote:the minimum envelope times are very fast, eg. a couple of samples, and time is an exponential scale so that most positions left of the 1/2 way mark are all mor eor less 'instantaneous.'bduffy wrote:xoxos - your gate was very cool, except it was making the old clicking sounds - can anyone verify if the gating cutoff isn't smooth?
