Highkoo, convert the mp3 to wav. (I guess you'll not find a decent sampler with mp3 playing, because the pro sampling and the mp3 format are 'enemies' of each other.)

i would certainly love to do that, and half of it actually came from wav... but i would have to purchase more than one gigantic HD for it all, and i already have 5 drives at my disposal....

my options are either to get hundreds of GB of fast HDs and convert to wav quality that i dont need, OR chop samples for the next 10 years, OR find a sample player thatll let me put cues in mp3s on the fly.....
ive considered teaching monkeys how to chop samples. that would help....
the vember audio thing looks promising. i dont have time to test it out now, but thanks for the pointer viktor. and im not familiar with 'freedice', but thanks a bunch paul. those will be given a testing later tonight! i really appreciate the help from kvr. i know if it exists, you guys know about it!
