I'll have something to post tomorrow if it doesn't go all pear shaped again :bang:
I'd stay up and do it tonight, but everyone else here has more sense than me: It's late and I don't want to rely on a "phones mix"
Lovin' the Lost Tech!

not to bring any negative note into the conversations, and I don't have the initiative to put the due diligence in on confirming this tonight (after all today's crashes and freezes, I've re-booted my music system about 40 times! grrrRRRR...)
however-
I think i've noticed that things get a little squirrely when I have multiple instances of Lost Tech .2 in a project...again- not positive, but I did resort to creating solo files and layering the best bits- so that I only had one instance of Lost Tech running in my final compositions...at that point, Live 6 decided to cooperate again... i'll look into this further, but I'm going to bed now. If any of you night owls who may be on the L6 beta thingy want to see if you can confirm the problem or prove that I'm imagining things...please do.
eXT went all funny when I had three instances of Lost Tech .2 in a comp as well...
more noise to come- thanks again, Johan!

Do you have your old Lost Tech .dll and your new one both in your VST folder? I know I do, but I renamed my new one Lost Tech 0.2 so I don't know if that's likely to increase the chance of conflict within FL or not (based on the unique VST ID number, I have no idea if it's the same for the old and new versions). I do, however, recall that there's a "change VST ID number" VST plug-in round here somewhere and if I find it I'll post a link for you to try out... there's no question that Live is not happy with some plug-ins, as I know from my experience of taking a freeware VST folder and trying to get someone's Live setup to accept it... no go, though I'll admit that I have a ton of freebie betas and such floating around in the hundreds.

@runny-
the answer is: Yes, I *did* have 3 versions of Lost Tech in my vst folder.
Then after finally eating something around 4pm, it occurred to me that the multiple versions thing *may* have been my problem all along... I removed the old one to another location and proceeded with caution (as described earlier...)
also- I did a mini sweep to clear some of the vst folder. I'm quite familiar with your "ton of freebie betas and such floating around in the hundreds"...got a ton of me own!
I might get brave enough to load multiples up in a comp in the morning...right now I'm seeing double with no chemical aids

and yes!, if you DO run into that ID renumberER thingy, by all means, please post! Thanks again-

Easy {Like A Sunday Morning} bump.

Here's something for ya ...finally!
only instruments are GURU and Lazysnake. Only fx (outside of "mastering" ) were xoxos channelswapper and of course- Lost Tech .2 8)
LT .2 makes anything weirder and more fun :hihi:

BTW- I *think* a majority of my problems yesterday *were* due to there being 3 different versions of Lost Tech in my vst folder. After cleaning out the old ones, I have no trouble using multiple instance of Lost Tech .2, but it may be worth noting, I've found that by increasing my audio buffer size upon playback of my LT tracks, I can make them somewhat smoother, YMMV...

c'mon, runny- I know you've been playing with this,....let's hear some runagate mayhem :D

Post

Nah, I'm working on my basically VST-less monthly contest entry or mello's going to bonk me in the mellon.

Post

cool track blorty - this lost fx thing sounds awful :P

Post

Thanks, snooky...me digs the LT :hihi:

Post

I hope that some more previously Lost Technology becomes found someday.

What the hell is this thing from? Atlantis?

Post

I need a "I <3 Lost Tech VST" T-Shirt.

Post

I still haven't made an mp3 demo, but I haven't forgotten. I'm in the process of trying to record live sounds without the proper tools or monitoring system to do so.

Post

Yes, thanks for the tidbit!

Post

how do you use LT ?? I just use LT as an insert. Than tweaking the knobs until something interesting happens.

Weird but powerful FX :D Love it!!

have to release a new mp3 .... *damn*

I use Lost Tech both an audio-controlled instrument, inputing voice usually, and as an effect on a track inputting drums, banjo- or koto-like string plinks.
