what a f**king joke you are - there is not a single superlative used in the sentence 'Reaper has advanced quatisation options' - there's not even a comparative used in it.

adulation are you crasy who said that ? i just put a software wich i found to be underated under the lights . that's all
plus my only purpose in buying this software is to have full 5.1 support do you have anything to add ?

I had prepared a release note for 1.66 which I was about to email to Ben when I noticed there already was a Podium 1.66 news item on the front page

Here's the 'official' release note, which lists changes since the last release note posted on kvr:

Introduced a new Project Start Page which simplifies the creation of new projects.
Updated the Podium UI with a new brushed metal texture. The texture will adjust to the selected color scheme.
Stickie notes can now also be attached to tracks. Hovering the mouse over a stickie note button will show a popup of the note.
The registered version of Podium comes bundled with a beta version of the new zReverb VST 2.4 plugin. The reverb allows individual placement of stereo or dual mono input sources and a stereo microphone within a room enclosure. Room dimensions, wall reflections, damping and delay times of the diffusion module can be adjusted. The plugin uses 64-bit double precision when the engine is running in 64-bit mode.
Speed optimized audio streaming in the engine to give up to 10% CPU performance boost when working with large numbers of audio channels and plugins. Podium will use SSE optimized code in the engine if it detects that SSE is supported by the CPU.
Speed optimized sound file streaming. Extended the CPU indicator to also show a percentage for sound file read/write access.
The supported size of standard Wave files is extended from 2GB to 4GB. Saving sounds that require more than 4GB file sizes will use the RF64 Wave file extension format.
Plugin banks can now be stored automatically on the tracks without using library presets.
Added Name and Load buttons to the preset panel for fast access to VST preset and bank files.
Various minor improvements and bug-fixes.
The Zynewave website has been redesigned and a new Wiki user section is added.

My main issues with previous versions, other than usability issues, were that it seemed to lack SRC, which I find essential... (or has that been added?)

What types of disparaging things have you heard about it?

I've been using Podium pretty much exclusively now for several months and I really like it. I moved over from the Tracktion camp and haven't relly looked back. I liked Tracktion, I like Podium better.

There is some functionality missing but the key items are on the todo list.

What do I like about it? The user interface is great once you understand it. It took a few tries to really get it but once I did I found it hard to work with Tracktion. Just about everything you need can be accessed from the arrangement screen. Fritz is also coming up with some slick plugins that just seem to become part of the user interface.

The one thing I miss coming from Tracktion is some of routing functionality. You can do a fair bit with sends and recieves but coming from Tracktion that's not intuitive to me, so EnergyXT gets me through that though I seldom need to do so.
